well, it would totally depend on who youre with! in any case, why do you feel the need to go to the gynecologist in the first place? if its just a one in a million instance, and youre feeling ok, i dont think you need to. things like that happen usually to most females, i think the urgency is not necessary. however, if you feel that checking you up would clear your mind of whatever is bothering you, then go ahead. just to give you peace of mind. good luck! =)

Assuming your a female by asking this question, I think you should ask yourself a more important question. If you let other people "finger" you for pleasure, why not be uncomfortable for a minute by letting a Doctor "finger" you for finding out weather or not you have cancer or sexually transmitted diseases. These tests are crucial for not only your health but for society. By knowing if you have a STD you can either have a sense of relief from knowing you have nothing, and if you do, you will take steps with your sex life to protect yourself and others. Best wishes!
