What do you think about a white ink tattoo on the inner wrist of a short quote or phrase? (i.e. Lindsay Lohans "breathe")

I wasn't planning on exactly copying Lindsay Lohan's tattoo, she's defiently not any sort of role model for me! However, I love the idea of it.

you will definately regret this one not to mention that white by itself white does not show up well and if you tan it will not show brighter the ink will either fade and disappear in 6 months or a lot of times whites will tend to brown out a little over time it sounds like a waste of time and money to me plus i mean really you must be in your teens and probably wont want to hear this but that really important lindsay lohan quote will seem like a bad idea in a year if not sooner and you will be embarrassed of it

I am medium complected African-American. I had a black tattoo done with a white outline a few years ago. The white ink was very visible and looked great for awhile. I got a lot of compliments, but then the white part started to fade and then completely disappeared within a few months.

Lindsay Lohans tattoo is one of my faves..I think white ink would look cute on anyone, but a darker skin tone would make it look sexier. Why don't you try getting a glow in the dark tattoo on your wrist first. If you like that, then you can make it really permanent with white ink...

I've always liked the idea of a white tattoo, it's a little less obvious and in your face, but it is still there. I am looking into getting one myself, inner wrist, but not a phrase.
Good luck making a choice.

it sounds like it would turn out nice, but the white ink tends to fade... i have a colorful tattoo on my back and it has a lot of white in it as well- the white is almost faded out now.

the white ink look amazing when it is fresh tho.

White ink (pigment) is hard to get to hold, without packing the daylights out of it in several sittings, and will need periodic maintenance sittings to keep it looking sharp... it would be much better to pick something other than white.

You might want to take into consideration that exposed tattoos are not exactly a plus should you ever be entering the job market....
