What if I go straight from the US, and leave my Saudi passport back in the US.

I just love to travel and meet new people, and I'm thinking of possibly visiting Tel Aviv and Jerusalem some time next year.

Of course if I were asked by the immigration people at the airport about my Arabic name and whether I hold another passport, I would have to be truthful....

As an American citizen, I do not need a visa. So what would go to the Israeli embassy for?

Plus, Saudi Arabia isn't at war with Israel, like Syria Iran and Lebanon, they just officially don't have normal relations.

Saudi citizens visit Israel all the time on business, religious pilgrimages and for medical treatments . . . Though Saudi Arabia is 'officially' at war with Israel, they have come to many accords over the years and in the reality of today, have found that they are both better off by maintaining a good and peaceful relationship . . . Indeed, Saudi Arabia has sponsored Israel's membership in the trade organization that meets in the United Arab Emirates and a great deal of commerce exists between the two nations . .

If you have legitimate reasons to visit Israel, I believe that the Swiss embassy or the Canadian embassy in Ryahd or the Israeli embassy in the USA can arrange a visa application for your visit to Israel with little problem. . . And you will find that when there, you will have no problem meeting with or enjoying the company of Israeli citizens . . It is an open and free society, very much like the USA, and noone will cause you any grief or be hostile to your presence there . . .

Since most of the restaurants in Israel serve Kosher food, you will have no problems with dining because that standard of food preparation is even more stringent than Halal . . .

Enjoy the trip . . .

Just in case I would email the Israeli embassy in Washington DC, but I do not see why you should have a problem entering in on your American passport, you might be even able to enter in on your Saudi one as well, but I do not know the details about that.

--Also you can ask to get a separate piece of paper stamped instead of your passport in case you want to use it in another Arab country.
