All scientific theories have made it past this simple hurtle, but I can't think of anything offered up by the Creationist/Intelligent Designers

I'm talking about the "discipline" of Creationism. As a "science" what has it contributed that is new, testible and verifiable?

Revjam: perhaps you should check out your story:
According to Wikipedia " In his book Collins examines and subsequently rejects creationism and Intelligent Design."

Revjam: YOU ARE WRONG, Dude. Admit it or cite your source. Interview with Collins on PBS: " On the one hand, we have scientists who basically adopt evolution as their faith, and think there's no need for God to explain why life exists. On the other hand, we have people who are believers who are so completely sold on the literal interpretation of the first book of the Bible that they are rejecting very compelling scientific data about the age of the earth and the relatedness of living beings. It's unnecessary. I think God gave us an opportunity through the use of science to understand the natural world. The idea that some are asking people to disbelieve our scientific data in order to prove that they believe in God is so unnecessary."

Revjam: Please cite where he denies evolution. That should settle it. Otherwise, give it up!

OK, here's the smoking gun:
"COLLINS: Well, evolution is a theory. It's a very compelling one. As somebody who studies DNA, the fact that we are 98.4 percent identical at the DNA level to a chimpanzee, it's pretty hard to ignore the fact that when I am studying a particular gene, I can go to the mouse and find it's the similar gene, and it's 90 percent the same. It's certainly compatible with the theory of evolution, although it will always be a theory that we cannot actually prove. I'm a theistic evolutionist."

Michael Faraday - physicist, formulated laws electromagnetic induction, did groundwork for making dynamos, electric motors and transformers.
Edit:
Sorry. Try this:
Nicholas Cusa - PREDICTED that space must be curved if God were to be equally present at every point. Twentieth Century findings confirmed his fifteenth century prediction. One of the mathematicians who "invented" curved space was *Bernhard Riemann* a devout Christian.

The former atheist now Christian scientist Francis S. Collins, was the longtime head of the Human Genome Project. He helped to discover the genetic misspellings that cause cystic fibrosis, neurofibromatosis and Huntington's disease. You can find all this info yourself by researching Mr. Collins or especially reading his own book titled, "The Language of God". He is just one who has made a great contribution to modern science. By the way, He is a creationist. Not a young earth creationist, but he believes that God is responsible for all we see in the natural world.
Maybe you need to check out your info about Collins. Wikipedia is wrong. I have the book as well as the Time magazine article were Collins and Dawkins debate origins. Collins for creation and of course Richard Dawkins for evolution.
The Time magazine is the November 13, 2006 issue with article titled "God vs. Science".
Brendan, I'm sorry but nowhere in that PBS quote do we see where Dr. Collins denies creationism. As a matter of fact, in a more recent source, the Time magazine article, pgs. 51-52, Dr. Collins responds with the following statement. I quote:
"Because believe in God's creative power in having brought it all into being in the first place, I find that studying the natural world is an oppurtunity to observe the majesty, the elegance, the intricacy of God's creation."
Dude, what is it that you don't get out of what he said in that article. I told you in previous email dialogue, that if you don't believe me, then get the book or the Time magazine and read it yourself. The evidence is before you. Approach it with an honest and intelligent open mind. I'm not trying to prove creation or disprove evolution, I answered your question and you have not checked out the truth about what I've given you. The answers I've given comes from the sources listed.
By the way, I've enjoyed our online discussions. Have a great day.
Sure thing, a theistic evolutionist is another term for God started it all. Even by being a theistic evolutionist, your beginning starts with God. Simply put. As I said, I have quoted Mr. Collins' own words, which were "God's creation."

Gary B, here is a little education for you. All the facts stated in evolution theory have been tested and verified. It is the theory itself that can not be tested. Other theories like this include Gravity theory, Relativity, electo-magnetic, etc. Certainly, you can't doubt the truth in those?

The creationist assumption is used by all modern scientists. Geneticists operate on the assumption that genes all have a function. The only way for something to have a function is if it is designed. The only way something can be designed is if there is a designer.
If they operated on the evolutionist assumption, they would believe that genes have no function because they are just random conglomerations of DNA, and therefore there could be no progress in the science of genetics.

It was a Catholic priest that made the big bang theory. No word of a lie. I'm an atheist and a bit biased the other way. but I know for a fact that it was a Christian priest that made this theory.

That's because there isn't one. And while we the reasonable, base our beliefs of the world and it's ways on hard facts and science, Creationists base for their beliefs is faith, which is hard to test with scientific method. And while there are certainly holes and incomplete areas of evolutionary biology I believe in it because it actually has some proven sense of truth in reality.

Let me add to this.- Make it something fairly recent- Considering ALL scientists prior to the 1800's were 'creationists' or Christians. Because that-was-the-only-education-you-could-get. Every scientist was Christian, because every PERSON was Christian. There was no alternative, unless you wanted to be burned at the stake or exiled from town.
