I think the answer about good parent genes may be most correct. Also, stress may contribute, so, a job that you enjoy can help. I would put food at the bottom of the list. True "They" say this and that about food and maybe it true. But, my Grandmother lived a stress free life and enjoyed her work, including mowing her own yard with a push mower until she was in her 80's. She love her Bacon and Fried Chicken and all those things they say are bad for us and lived to be 103. My dad worked hard and was stressed a lot. He lived to be 70. My mother she eat all those bad foods and is not stressed by life she still going at 78.
My friends and me have a saying; "A happy heart is a healthy heart"! So, be happy in life. Enjoy your work and not let money control what work you do. That keep your heart feeling good. So, in descending order; Heredity, Stress and last is Food.

I agree with all of the things the other answerers stated with one addition. Learn how to prevent it in the case of bad genes. I suggest looking at the research behind mangosteen juice ans how it can help with heart disease as well as cholesterol.
Good luck!

First pick good parents so you have good genes, then eat healthy, don't smoke, and exercise.
Have a physical every year, follow the doctor's orders.
