No way. I was diagnosed with HPV (and genital herpes) 6+ years ago at the age of 17. I wasn't going to let it ruin my life and my sex life.

I have told every guy I have been with that I have HPV and not one of them ran away screaming or anything. They were all glad I told them and wanted to stay with me. I was with one guy for 4 years and we had a great sex life. Right now I'm with a guy (my fiance) who I have been with for 2 years. We couldn't be happier! He doesn't care I have HPV, he loves me for me, virus and all.

It's estimated 75 - 80% of the WORLD has HPV and I can guarentee you they aren't going to stop having sex because they have HPV. For the most part HPV is pretty harmless. The main concern with HPV is the cervical cancer it can cause for women. But, with proper screenings like yearly pap smears, any abnormalities on the cervix can usually be caught in time before they turn into cancer.

Take care!
