Yes. HPV can be spread by sex (vaginal, oral, and anal) or any kind of DIRECT skin to skin contact with the infected area.

Condoms can HELP prevent the spread of HPV, but they are not 100% effective. Condoms only cover a man's penis and not his entire genital area. Just the rubbing back and forth of the genital areas during sex or foreplay is enough to spread HPV.

Good luck and take care!

YES. HPV is just like any other sexually transmitted disease. HPV can even be transmitted without penetration, so a condom must be used 100 % of the time.
Although most HPV infections are transient, some do progress to cancer in 12-15 years. Known risk factors for progression: smoking, high number of children, long term oral contraceptive use, coinfection with HIV, C. trachomatis or HSV-2, immunosuppression and others. Follow your physician's advice and always use a condom, you also don't want to be re-infected by another kind of HPV.

By having sex with them. I don't know how much good a condom will do at preventing the spread because body juices will still touch genital areas. HPV is very common, your partner has a high chance of already having it and if your partner is male HPV will not affect him but it can affect his future female partners (if any). HPV can cause cervical cancer in women.

Absolutely. Take solace in knowing that 80% of all sexually active Americans have some type of genital HPV. Most casue not health risks. Some can greatly increase the risk of cervical cancer. However, with routine PAP's this is very controlable and most likely would never become cancerous.
