Looking for best digital with film lens?

I want to upgrade to a digital SLR, but still use my 50-300 tamron lens. what is the best one that's compatible or are they all?

My lens attaches to a nikon. and $5000 is a little much...how does the 40 and 40x compare?

Camera manufacturers all use a proprietary lens mount although some companies are now sharing them. Buy a DSLR of the same brand your Tamron lens mounted to. That is no guarantee, though, that it will work.

Your best path is to visit a real camera store and ask their advice.
