The heart has 4 chambers -two upper ones are called ATRIA and the two lower ones , the VENTRICLES
The atria contract only gentle, just enough to move blood that flows through them into the ventricles,which do the most pumping,the right ventricle sends blood to the lungs ,the left supplies the rest of the body.
