Give it a rest. Humans are not Herbivores but are in fact omnivores. The human body is designed to ingest any form of plant or animal nutrition. We are not "grazers" but we are "Hunters". The "Vegans" are a sick bunch who would deny that they are animals at all. The fact is, humans are in fact animals. We are the supreme predator. We hunt and devour all other animals and plants we find tasty. It is not "Natural" to not eat meat. It is a belief. We have evolved the ability to take nourishment from whatever suits our palate.
Yes, a diet of fruits and vegetables is a good diet and might make you live 62 hours longer for each year you follow it. You'll be hungry all the time and live 3 years longer than a "meater". So what? 3 years miserable is not a lifetime. Eat what you what.

My mother ate a balanced moderate diet including meat and is now in her nineties . But she has lost her memory and could have better health according to most medical dietary experts had she been vegetarian . the problem is many of us prefer the the taste of meat regardless of the ramifications of Artherio- sclerosis and other ailments associated with the long term dietary snafu. one diet recommended as giving a 68% reduction in the risk of coronary or stroke problems says avoid all animal products . if you notice the side effects of most colesterol meds you might see the benefits of cutting fats and processed foods . this meatless diet is supposed to stop the impact of prostaglandins in the arterio-vascular system. along with proper hydration no sulfites or processed carbs . High fiber especially increased uncooked foods is excellent for nutrition as well as not creating free radicals from meats fish chicken and dairy products .

CANCER, HEART DISEASE, AUTO IMMUNE DISEASES...
From a article by Dr. John McDougall it is very like to make you ill. He warns his patients & those on his diet that once there body is clear of all that "stuff" a revisit to those foods are likley to make them have a reaction. If you have never given up flesh 100% it may not be so hard to eat it. Only your body knows.
Is there not a faux meet(Boca, etc) that will work to satsify the craving? If you are like many others & decide to eat "IT".. you may find it don't taste like you remember it did. The other thing maybe it not the actually beef you are craving but a another flavor..BBQ sauce or the a special marinade. Try making it up & puiting on a veggie food. I use my husband's homemade spicy BBQ Sauce on Oven Roasted Potatoes

Slainté(to your health)

Since I lose my weight(25 kg), 4 and half years ago, now I do not eat meat. I eat fish and vegetables, milk, fruit but i do not work high phisical works and this food can provide energy for my daily routine. So, if You work very hard phisical works then You should eat at least one meat meal eat day beacuse meat has high duration energy what other food do not have.
I do not like eating meat because I do not like their smell but sometimes I eat chicken and cooked beef meat in water.
My mother tells me that I shoul eat meat at least 2 times at week but I do not listen her. Scientist say that every person should eat meat 1-2 meals at week, because red meat has some cells that are conected with cancer developing, white meat like chicken, veal liver, goat meat is very healthy and fish You could eat every day. Red meat is healthy but listen Your body if body "tells" You that Your organisam needs meat then eat it.

BEAT REGARDS!!

Sure, go back to eating red meat, just take it slow at first - maybe a few small bites. Your body definitely needs the nutrients red meat provides. Be normal and enjoy it!!!

They say white meat is better for you, but I have heard so many explanations, that I just don't think about it anymore. I had attempted to become a vegetarian once for health and humane reasons, but I realized that me trying to stop eating steak and dark meat chicken is like a chain smoker trying to quit smoking.

" Red Meat " simply means meat that isn' t fully cooked ... like ' rare ' steak .
Red meat contains a lot of blood and grease and fat . All of these contain too much of the " bad " cholesterol .
They clog-up your arteries ... slow down blood-flow through your arteries . That means your major organs and muscles will receive less oxygen and will become oxygen-starved .
With a steady diet of red meat , you' re setting yourself up for a heart attack or a stroke !

Your body may react to eating red meat . It makes you sluggish already. I went two years without eating pork, once I started again I got sick. I understand the cravings but think twice.

dont expect to have a good digestion after eating something strong, like red meat, after 5 years, you can start by eating small amounts of meat until u can start eating regular again, u can expect really nothing, just in your digestion, lol

Yes..your stomach will possibly hurt until it gets used to it. You have not eaten it in a long time so your body is used to NOT having to process that crud.
You do whatever you want. There are loads of reasons not to eat it but I guess other people might say there are loads of reasons TO eat it. Do whatever you want.
