Huh - don't start me on this. I carefully saved two black bag full - yogurt pots etc all with the recycle logo on them. They aren't allowed in our green bin though. So I trotted off to the recycling centre - guess where I had to put them all??
Yep, into the same skip as all the plastic I CAN put into the green bin. And the tetra packs (milk cartons etc) all went into the cardboard????? Thought the metal in them wasn't right for cardboard recyling.

Nor sure about the UK, but on main land Europe, including Turkey, plastic bottles which are suitable for recycling have a triangular mark on them and the letters PET.
Where I live, plastic bags, including refuse bags, which we have to buy, are biodegradable and have been for more than 15 years. We have separate recycling containers for plastic milk bottles.

Depends on where you are - in one recycling centre we have huge open bin and we put every thing in, but at another the bin only has a small hole and says soft plastics only. Now we leave the bottle caps on, but not long age we had to remove them. Ask when you get there, as you don't want to contaminate the bins so they cannot send it to where ever it goes.
We get a separate box for the tetra packs now.

Depending on WHERE you live [all counties are different] there should be a LIST telling you what kinds of plastic can be recycled. For example, where I live only plastics labeled (1) and (2) can be recycled... and other numbers can NOT.
Look at the bottom of each plastic item -- it will be labeled w. a number [usually 1 - 6]. Depending on where you live, each county will designate what NUMBERS can be recycled : )
Here is more info:

Hope this helps! : )

In Ca it has to be sorted. Water/clear bottles, milk bottles, green/brown bottles and by types of plastic. Contact your recycle center to see what they take.

Not all kinds, only certain ones. Look on your city's website and see if it says which types they want.
