Just wondered if its worth buying as its cheap from the supermarket. I could get frontline combo from the vets at about £20 for 3 vials (3months) but the canac spot on is a few quid for one.

No, it isn't worth buying. Supermarkets and shops aren't licensed to sell the proper drugs, only vets are, so any stuff you find in a shop is going to be a general insecticide that doesn't really work on fleas and probably shouldn't be put on an animal - stay far, far away from Bob Martin products in particular!! Last lady I met who'd used this to save money had a £140 bill to treat toxicity in her cat.

I'm afraid you'll have to shell out on the Frontline - they can afford to charge more for the veterinary products because they're the only ones that work and are safe!!

Do NOT use this, or any other (cheap) product that you buy at the super market, Wal-Mart, etc. The ONLY tried and true totally vet recommended brands are: Frontline, Frontline Plus and Advantage. You can get these in individual applications (usually) from your vet or a groomer. They are also available at a well-stocked pet supply store in the 3-pack. Any of the others (this one, I've never heard of) can do serious (and permanent damage) to your cat--even kill the kitty. It's NEVER better to go the cheapest method. Think about this: Would YOU want your own doctor "cutting corners" and eliminating any necessary lab work, referrals, etc., because it's cheaper? Yes, you might take the chance of dying in the process---but it was cheaper. The funeral WON'T be! Please, do NOT use this stuff--it isn't worth taking a chance with.

I would never buy products from the supermarket for cats(only food) I buy Frontline spot-on from Pet dispensary for about £16.50 for 6 pippets. Please don't use flea collars+spot-on as some one has just said on here,it's dangerous.

I would always buy from the Vet. Usually the supermarket stuff doesn't work and you end up buying loads and spending more than at the vet!
