Sometimes a break can help a relationship because it makes one realize how much the loved one is missed, and don't want to go on without them. More often, it is a precursor to the end of a relationship. You realize you like them gone because you can be free to do what you want without accounting to someone. Or dealing with their messes, etc.

You can try it but it might not work . Ive been in a relationship since jan 05 and around june of this year we took a break for a month and dated other people and its worked out for the most part so far . Try and see if it works ,of coufse it all up to u on what to do next ,make your self happy not everyone else .

yes it could help. If you feel you need time to get your head together and think about what you would like to do then distance is a good thing. Distance is a lot better than ending a relationship when your upset and regretting it later , its good to take time to think about how you feel. If you partner is willing why not take a break and see how you feel after that.

Taking a break doesn't work. Specially if you are the one suggesting the break. He'll find someone else and when you complain he'll just say it was your idea.
9 months is still early days, if it doesn't work now let him go.
Good Luck.

I don't see the point in continuing with a relationship you feel you need space in. Long term what is the point?
Why waste your energy? Just walk away.

Distance I think can help but I wouldnt ask for a "break" first. You might as well just call it off if your not happy.

distance can help and can also destroy relationship. if you want a break no problem. but i think you are just tired of the relationship. most breaks do not come back.

it may help for a short time but if you have turned off you may as well break up because it will go stale again if you dont love him
