God is in the healing business dear. He can do anything. ALL things are possible with God. Where we are weak, He is strong. Rely on Him and He will heal you and give you strength! May the Lord bless you!

First thing I want to say is this - ignore any words of disdain, discouragement and pure hate. These are not the qualities of God, so do not allow them to penetrate your heart and mind. The mere fact that you acknowledge God in this area of your life is the first step to acheiving your goal. God gives us wisdom to make the right choices. He made us in His image, and He wants nothing more than for us to be healthy in every area of our lives - physically, emotionally, financially...you name it. Talking about these things are hard because people don't always want to see us succeed. So they spew words of hatred to others because they don't know any better. But, if you have a confidant - someone that can help hold you accountable as you make better choices, that can help. Sometimes, people have weight problems due to imbalances in their bodies - slower metabolism, issues with the thyroid, liver or other organs...so I pray and ask God to regulate anything that may be out of order in your body. Go through your cabinets and get rid of unhealthy foods...eat lower on the food chain (fruits, veggies, grains). Build up your physical activity and stay disciplined. Discipline is key. Research cookbooks and restaurants that cater to a leaner diets; stay away from fast food. Again, God gives us the strength to do what needs to be done. Just ask Him. And if you're still not sure, ask anyway. The Bible says that because of Jesus' sacrifice we are healed. The Bible also says that God's thoughts towards us are good, and not evil. Wanting to be healthier is good...some of the comments I've read so far are EVIL. The Bible says to cast your cares upon Him because He cares for you...He cares about everything that concerns you. Be encouraged. People don't always care about us...But God made you in His image and His likeness - so you're gauranteed that He cares. He'll give you strength, discipline, determination, and, wisdom and courage. Don't allow anyone to zap you of those things. Be your own cheerleader and have faith! :)

of course He can, so long as you have faith that He can. there are even bible-based programs out there that deal with this sort of thing. try typing ''paula jones'' in your search engine and see what you come up with. i know she has some kind of bible-based fitness program. you can also try a ''daniel fast.'' you can find this in the book of daniel. it's a ten-day diet of nothing but fresh fruits and vegetables, and you can only drink water. it's not easy, but it will cleanse your body of toxins, speed up your metabolism, strengthen your immune system, give you more energy, better your moods, and help with mental clarity. cleansing yourself like that also means you'll have a lower risk of getting cancer and heart disease. that can be a great way to start. be warned though; it may make you sick at first, but that's only the toxins being pushed out of your body. after you're done, you'll feel like a new person. i do it once a year, and it makes a big difference. and one more thing... don't go out and eat a bunch of meat after you're done with this diet. you have to give your body time to readjust.

peace,
drew

You tell me. Take a trip down to the USA's Bible Belt and count how many skinny people there are. If your number reaches double digits, God will help you.
