It is actually 8-8 oz. glasses of water daily. Eight ounces is equal to 1 cup, so it's the equivalent of 8 cups of water.
At least eight eight-ounce glasses of water a day for all adults, most of whom lose about two to three quarts of water every day. Athletes, people who live or work in hot environments, and people who perspire heavily lose more water and need to drink even more to keep up with the loss.
Beverages such as coffee or alcohol have a mild diuretic effect, which promotes urination and therefore water loss.

A glass of water is considered 8 ounce which is a 1/2 cup...so you need to drink at least 64 oz of water daily. so 4 cups...I drank that already and it is only 5:30 am....I will drink at least 3 gallons of water today alone...don't limit yourself to 8 glasses...the more the merrier as long as it is coming back out as well.

The average size cup is 8 ounces. About 2 cups would fill an average size glass, which would make 16 ounces.
2 cups = a pint.
4 cups = a quart.
4 quarts = a gallon
They are suppposed to teach this in elementary school. What grade are you in??? Wouldn't suprise me if you are a high school graduate, with the sad state our schools are in, in America now!

This is just a guess - a normal glass would be about 12 oz, like a can of coke. I think a cup is 8 oz.

8 ounces=1 cup or glass therefore 8 glasses=64 ounces(oz)
if u simply drink 64 ounces(oz) of water then that would equal 8 glasses

depends on who you listen to
my recommendation is 1/2 oz per pound of body weight
so for my 256 lbs - I need a gallon a day (128 oz)
8 glasses would be half that - and dehydration will make
your brain think less clearly

cups are the same as glasses aren't they but if ur asking about liters it would be
8 * 0.2 = 1.6 LT of water , which is equivalent to a bottle of coca cola. Yummy!!

I think the usual measure of a 'glass' is about 200ml. A cup is 250ml, so that's six and a half cups.
