The Seventh-day Adventist Church (abbreviated "Adventist"[1]) is a Protestant Christian denomination which is distinguished by its observance of Saturday, the "seventh day" of the week, as the Sabbath. The denomination grew out of the Millerite movement in the United States during the middle part of the 19th century and was formally established in 1863.[2] Among its founders was Ellen G. White, whose extensive writings are still held in high regard by the church today.
Much of the theology of the Seventh-day Adventist church corresponds to key evangelical teachings such as the Trinity and the infallibility of Scripture. Distinctive teachings include the unconscious state of the dead and the doctrine of an investigative judgment. The church is also known for its emphasis on diet and health, for its promotion of religious liberty, and for its culturally conservative principles.
The world church is governed by a General Conference, with smaller regions administered by divisions, union conferences and local conferences. It currently has a worldwide membership of over 14 million people, has a missionary presence in over 200 countries and is ethnically and culturally diverse.[3] The church operates numerous schools, hospitals and publishing houses worldwide, as well as a prominent humanitarian aid organization known as the Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA).
It is therefore not part of the Catholic church.

NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!! absoluetly NOT! i am so i know. Seventh day adventism the condensed version:
views that seperate us from most PROTESTANT churches (we are protestant...not catholic):
1. we beleive in an advent (that is to say... the second coming of christ. we believe he died... rose up on the thrid day.. then later ascended to heaven wher he reamins making a place for us. when it is ready he will come back and raise the slepping belivers tio be with him forevor and end the earth as we know it demolishing all sin.)
2.the state of the dead: we, unlike most christians, believ that when you die... you are dead....your soul doesnt go to heaven or hell... you have no knowledge of anything.. as the bible says... the dead know nothing. you are, essentially...sleepinguntill the second coming like i explained above.
and 3. we worship on the sevnth day of the week (saturday). we dont go to church on sundays because guess who came up with that. catholics. notice how the jews have their sabbath on saturday. likewise... we do the same because the fourth commandment says that the seventh day is the sabbath and to keep it holy...because god created the earth in 6 days and rested on the 7th...on sabbath.
other than that...we are very similar to any other protestant church out there.
but we are so not realtaed to any sort of catholisim at all.....god is personal....ot required....not to be talked throug hby prewritten prayers and confessions to a person and tradition.
sda's study the bible and try to follow it by what it says. we are a rather large group btw. you know kellogg as in frosted flakes and rice crispys kellogg? he was an sda. we have our own schools... i went the the san diego academy which is an sda school.... we have our colleges and hospitals.....if you are familiar with san diego or southern california you may know of paradise valley hospital....loma linda hospital....loma linda university.... la sierra university..... iun texas there southwestern adventist university.......in australia avondale... michigan andrews university......the list goes on and on.........

I don't know, but I do love their magazine, Liberty, which continually examines church/state issues in a mature, sane manner. Quite a diversity of viewpoints but their overall editorial policy is staunchly for separation from government. And vice versa.
