Two suggestions; roll up a towel and place it under your neck when lying down. Other than that, find a doctor of Chiropractic and have the problem resolved.

In addition to the towel you can try a heating pad to see if that helps some of the pain but I would recommend seeing your doctor for further evaluation of the situation to see what they think could be causing this pain.

You need a pillow to support your neck. Go for manual therapy because its affecting your sleep.

Poor thing, remind me of my time when I have back pain. I sit up to sleep.

See a doctor and ask about being prescribed muscle relaxants. They might help. Until then try a heating pad. It works for my husband.
