Revelation 12:1-9 speaks of this account, but Revelation 12:9 in particular says "So down the great dragon was hurled, the original serpent, the one called Devil and Satan, who is misleading the entire inhabited earth; he was hurled down to the earth, and his angels were hurled down with him." But prior to this taking place, at Matthew 4:8, 9 while tempting Jesus, Satan "took him along to an unusually high mountain, and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory, 9 and he said to him: “All these things I will give you if you fall down and do an act of worship to me.” This temptation would be absolutely meaningless had Satan not already had ownership of the world's kingdoms to offer. So even prior to Satan and his Demons being cast down to earth, and no longer given access to the Heavenly realm, Satan already was the ruler of the world. 1 John 5:19 says "19 We know we originate with God, but the whole world is lying in the [power of the] wicked one." Many people blame God for much of the suffering on the earth, but in reality Satan is the one responsible for the heartache. We look forward to the coming of God's kingdom in which Jesus will initially rule as king over the entire inhabited earth.

The apostles laboured with much diligence, sincerity, and faithfulness.

The best of men would faint, if they did not receive mercy from God. And that mercy which has helped us out, and helped us on, hitherto, we may rely upon to help us even to the end. The apostles had no base and wicked designs, covered with fair and specious pretences. They did not try to make their ministry serve a turn. Sincerity or uprightness will keep the favourable opinion of wise and good men. Christ by his gospel makes a glorious discovery to the minds of men. But the design

of the devil is, to keep men in ignorance; and when he cannot keep the light of the gospel of Christ out of the world, he spares no pains to keep men from the gospel, or to set them against it. The rejection of the gospel is here traced to the wilful blindness and wickedness of the human heart. Self was not the matter or the end of the apostles' preaching; they preached Christ as Jesus, the Saviour and Deliverer, who saves to the uttermost all that come to God through him. Ministers are

servants to the souls of men; they must avoid becoming servants to the humours or the lusts of men. It is pleasant to behold the sun in the firmament; but it is more pleasant and profitable for the gospel to shine in the heart. As light was the beginning of the first creation; so, in the new creation, the light of the Spirit is his first work upon the soul. The treasure of gospel light and grace is put into earthen vessels. The ministers of the gospel are subject to the same passions and

weaknesses as other men. God could have sent angels to make known the glorious doctrine of the gospel, or could have sent the most admired sons of men to teach the nations, but he chose humbler, weaker vessels, that his power might be more glorified in upholding them, and in the blessed change wrought by their ministry. (2Co 4:8-12)

Satan is the tormentor of the next world for those who do not believe that The Father, The Son and the Holy Ghost are one and are the God of this world. The kingdom of Satan is unlike the Kingdom of the Lord in that you will always thirst, and never be quenched, not even a single glass of water. It is a place of eternal torment and separation from God. Satan is the one who has deceived all of humanity.

Jesus called satan the ruler of the world, and the apostle John said that the wholw world is lying in the power of the wicked one(John12:31 ; 1John5:19)Also another thing that shows that satan has contropl of this world is when he took Jesus to the wildernes to tempt him, satan offered to Jesus all the kingdoms of the world for just one act of worship(Matthew4:8,9)
Again, the devil took him to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their splendor.
"All this I will give you," he said, "if you will bow down and worship me." If these kingdoms of the world were not satans to give how could he tempt Jesus with what he couldn't give him? (2Corinthians 4:4) calls him the god of this world or age.
4The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. So, since satan wanted to get Jesus to worship him he also wants other humans to do so and he theregfore makes himself the god of this world and tries to blind people away from worshiping the true God.

We live in a world that is under the power of Satan the Devil, whom the Bible calls “the god of this system of things.” (2 Corinthians 4:4

Satan is the god of the fallen world (kingdom).

“… the whole world [“kosmos” or “order (or the world)”] lies in the power of the evil one” (1 John 5:19)

“… the god [small “g”] of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving so that they might not see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God [big “G”]” (2 Co 4:4)

“…you formerly walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, of the spirit that is now working in the sons of disobedience. Among them we too all formerly lived in the lusts of our flesh, indulging the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, even as the rest. BUT GOD, BEING RICH IN MERCY, BECAUSE OF HIS GREAT LOVE WITH WHICH HE LOVED US, EVEN WHEN WE WERE DEAD IN OUR TRANSGRESSIONS, MADE US ALIVE TOGETHER WITH CHRIST (BY GRACE YOU HAVE BEEN SAVED)…” (Eph 2:2-5)

You sound like you might already know. Revelations talks of the antichrist having that power. There is a verse in the bible that says the God of this age (refering to satan) has blinded the eyes of men so they cannot see the light of God.
