I agree that the Class-A uniforms of the Army are not all that attractive compared to the Marine's uniform. I would like to see the Army Class-A look more like the 1941 uniforms. Then, there are those who would disagree with me. It doesn't matter, the Department of the Army isn't going to change on my account anyway.

I still don't understand why everyone had to get their own uniform, the BDUs were fine, but then the Marines made the digitized uniform for various tactical reasons, then the Army (at the expense of the taxpayer) made their own instead of just using the Marine pattern. Then the Air Force got on-board the waste money train and in the midst of all this some general somewhere got another shiny star for the genius idea. Personally, if you haven't seen the Air Force uniform up close the blended grey tigerstrip actually looks pretty decent, huge imporvement over the originally planned Bright blue standing out tigerstrip that looked like you skinned a smurf and made a uniform out of it.
Also, the look of uniforms aint to look good, it's to hide the stain that used to be your enemy

The service is not a fashion show. Uniforms are designed to protect the men, not to make them stand out... you as a Marine should know that. The uniforms are being digitized now b/c of advances in technology. They are trying to make the soldiers "invisible" by making the camo better. Again, I would rather my husband look funny in his tiger stripes than be spotted by the enemy.

I myself think that the Dress Greens of an "Army Soldier" are the prettiest,but then i am an Ex-Army Wife.To me the only other Uniform that looks funny is the Navy Uniform.It should not matter which Service you are in ,when it comes to serving your country and all those soldiers that fight to keep our Freedom .When i say this i mean not only the freedom of the US but the freedom for " all" ! I am proud of all of them. Who knows what my life would be like now if all soldiers that helped sacreficed their lives to stop Hitler.They are all Soldiers and if it would comes down to it i don`t think they would have time to worry about what the Uniform looks like .They would all fight side by side.That is why it is called"Military" .No uniform is called ugly! That is just wrong.

I'm not sure about that. I've been in places that didn't even know we had a Navy, but they knew I was a sailor from the way I was dressed. Looks like you missed out on the great secret of the new digitized pattern on your utilities. They embedded the portraits of all of the Marine Commandants in the pattern. If you find them all and circle them you win a free pony. LOL!

Well, if it's true that women like men in uniforms, it's a good think that we have ugly uniforms. Otherwise the civilians wouldn't stand a chance.
The thing that I don't understand is.... if you're a guy, judging from your avatar, why would you even notice that we have ugly uniforms?

FYI: We don't get to pick what we wear. The people in charge do that. And besides, nothing can be as ugly as the new Air Force tiger stripes...they make our ACUs look frickin' stylin'!

J.S. do you have dreams of becoming a fashion designer?..Let's hope you dont...military uniforms dont have to look "good" they are NOT fashion statements...get some wrist weights and work out my friend
