One generalized but nonetheless true answer is size and money - black churches are quite often very tiny and very poor.
One thing, however, that both "white" and "black" churches have in common is a misguided truth of reality... They claim there is a real god and that he created the universe, and they claim there is life after death. How preposterous, eh?

I was converted in an all African SDA church. They were much like the mostly white church I attend today. Differences are more from differences in denominations than any sort of racial difference. The SDA one I attended had more "soul" but was not at all Pentacostal or loud.

No such thing... church is supposed to be for anyone who wants to go.
But worship styles can be different at churches with certain demographics
denomination
rural/urban
socio-economic background
culture/tradition
musical preferences

Nothing really... we both believe in, love and praise the same Lord, Jesus Christ.
I'm just a little quieter about it. Just once, I'd love to let go like that! Someone would have to pull me off the ceiling because I wouldn't want to quit. Alleluia!
In Charity,

Black churches are very upbeat & soulful. There is alot of singing & clapping, the sermon is a dramatic presentation, and if the spirit moves you, ppl get up & dance or worship the God.
White churches are the opposite of that.

go to one. There is a huge difference. They both talk about the same thing, but the way they talk about it is so different. So much more energy at a black church
