I used to be into witchcraft too when I was younger, as well as other branches of the occult. I used to do a ritual whenever I thought I was cursed or hexed, until I discovered something better. I got it from a book written by a Wiccan. It supposedly was a Wiccan spell, but I found out later it had imagery from the book of Revelations, of all things.

Now, I no longer live in fear of magic spells, because I have something more powerful. I can go to bed at night not worrying if I did all my banishings correctly, or if a rival occultist out there somewhere found out about me and decided to hex me.

The reason is, I have Jesus. He is more powerful than any hex or curse. I get emails from people from time to time saying they've hexed me, or make a veiled threat they have (i.e. "I found an insanity spell the other day, and it reminded me of you, etc., etc., ) No doubt many others try to hex me and never email me or write me.

...and I'm still here! Happy, healthy, and doing better than ever!

My answer is, you don't have to worry about such things if you have God on your side. No amount of "magic" is greater than Jesus. That might not be the answer you wanted to hear, but it's the truth.

I can guarantee you there are no such things as superpowers, psychic powers or any other supernatural phenomena. Everything can be explain as a natural occuring phenomena not anything mystical. Numerology is bull. Astrology is bull. Card reading, palm reading any sort of adivination etc etc. Just not true. Put me in front of any of these so called psychics and I can either debunked them on the spot or within a few days while I do research. You should be able to do the same.

All these world mysteries are only mysteries because people are lazy. They prefer to accept something as a mystery rather than doing a simple google search on the phenomena. Yes, there are still things that are not fully understood but it is a thing of I do not yet have the right resourses to prove what it is at the moment. That is to say, I know is just a naturally occuring thing but I rather not come to any conclusion until the phenomena can be truly studied and understood.

Ok, now that I mention that there is a way you can get jinx as you call it. It is by believing in it. Now, just because you belive in it it will not make it a reality. What happens is that you predesposition yourself to make it a reality in your head. Once you start believing in the hog wash you will see it everywhere. the problem is that you only acredit the event to supernatural forces when the right condition happens yet you will ignore the many times that it can be easily explained by simple logic. Is like when you say oh my best friend is going to call in 1 minute and in a minute time the phone ring. WOW MAGIC? HOW DID I KNOW THAT? Simple you are intune with your friend at the psycological level. You understand your friend and you have grown accostume to their habits. If a friend hasn't call in a while and this is not their normal behavior it is reasonable to think that something has happened to them. Maybe they are thinking the same so they do the polite thing and call. Another thing is that we are animals of habbits. People may make phone calls right about the same time of the day. If you where to keep track of the days and time your friend calls you will see that is right around the same time.

I think that if it bothers you so much then talk to your friend about it. Tell him/her that you feel uncomfortable. Maybe they will at least stop mentioning it every 5 minutes or try to convince you of it.

Now, many people here will tell you many stories and bull about God, or the ocult or how many things are still unexplained and how they had this experience or whatever. Trust me they are wrong. But, don't take my word for it. Try it yourself. You see what you do is have your friend give you the explanation of his ability or experience. After they are done then you tell them, alright rpove it. So, then they'll either make an excuse on how it only works on certain days or is unpredictable blah blah blha or they will try to show you. If they do show you take paper and pencil and maybe a video camera and record everything that is happening. You may make two different types of notes in your notebook. One is the things that you are observing. The other one is what you are feeling. That is if you feel scare, cold etc etc. Make sure that in your annotation you separate the two. Remember your role is that of an observer. You observe and you make annotations thats it. At the end of the experience take your notes and maybe your video camera and lay them aside for a day or two. Then go back to it and read what you wrote and watch the movier. You will be surpriced at the things you wrote and how those things are based on your fears and expectation. There is one more step. Don't take any observation as a fact. Try to give a logical or natural explanation to what you ibserve. For example, notice that people who photograph ghost may say that they need a special camera. Well, the first assumption is to think the camera is special. But a more correct assumption is that that model camera may be defective. Maybe look up any know issues for that camera in the manufacturer website. Another thing is that just because you can't explain it at that particular moment it does not means that the explanation given to you by the person claiming supernatural power is the only or true explanation. All it means is that you do not know the answer at that time just as if a teacher asks you a question in history class you may not know the answer at that time. However, there is nothing stopping you from looking it up. So, if you don't understand how it could be possible then ask somebody else. This third person has to be a neutral party. FOr example if you ask this guys parent and they are also into the ocult then ofcourse they are going to back up his claims. So, what you do is ask a person that is knoleageable in the field and does not know what is going on. The best way to ask these questions is to do not reveal too much information. For example, you went to a house and heard strange noices. Well, don't say all those things to a third party. Say, hey every now and then I hear noices in my house what can that be. Then they will give you a possible explanation on the subject. However, the moment you mention ghost or anything of that nature the answer will almost automatically change to oh maybe it could be true. Humans are quirky that way. If you made a video recording of the event is even better because you can then play the movie in slow motion and play it back and forth 1,000,000 times and you will start to see how fake it really is.

If all else fails then contact the JRF this is the James Randi institution. They have a $1,000,000 dollar challenge. Pretty much if you are able to prove any psychic power or supernatural phenomena under a control environment then they will pay you 1 million dollars. This challenge ahve been going on for many years I think since the 70's yet not a single person including well renouned psychics have been able to clai the price. Go ahead and search on youtube James Randi and see for yourself. Also, try penn & teller.

wow.
all but 4 of the above answers are completely ignorant of everything in the question.
and only 2 of those answers actually help.

numerology and astrology have absolutely nothing to do with black magic.
the holy spirit cannot protect against black magic.
your classmate/friend probably isn't practicing any form of black magic whatsoever.
people who perform black magic are not evil by nature. they are people by nature.
most magic is not black magic.
most things that appear to be magic are not magic.

there is absolutely no chance that you will be jinxed or cursed. you're fine.
and the only way to shield yourself from it is to realize this.

Oh for goodness sake. Nod and smile and don't act any more interested than you would if someone were telling you how to needlepoint. Eventually he will get the hint and quit talking to you about it. And that way you're not doing anything even vaguely offensive to him.

The best shield is an inquiring mind. So ask questions, look for evidence, and trust your own common sense. Superstition of any sort is no match for a calm, rational mind!

That is not a friend. Please refrain company from him.

YOU Said: "he's basically spooked you out", and you want to be "shielded"--trust your instincts dear! They are telling you something. Also, go with what you feel. If he makes you cringe or scared I highly suggest he be not your friend. Find friends who believe in God or your faith.

JESUS is your friend!

Say this prayer every day or have it written down, and keep
it about your person. God bless and take care. This is a prayer agains demons and witchcraft.

Behold the Cross of the Lord!
Flee ye adversaries!
The Lion of the Tribe of Juda,
The Root of David has conquered, alleluia!

you won't get jinxed. numerology and horoscopes and things are just random amusements. they're written vaguely to give advice and apply to everyone. there's no magic involved. so just have fun with it, like she is.

Well, try to develop a strong faith of your own, based on what you believe.

If you believe something different from your freind, ask yourself why and justify it to yourself.

Just because he or she is into the occult, does not make him or her bad. That may be what they believe.

Hope this helps.

Tazer him until he agrees to never talk to you about any of it. Or you could just ask him if he's happy. Sounds like he doesn't know what he's doing. All that stuff is very vague and deceiving.
