well do i have to wait for my manager to tell me when i get my paycheck?...or do i ask her...well im new at this job(albertson's)and i dont know if my manager will tell me..i was going to my job to try to pick up my check but my sis told me to wait another week to get my check...but i dont know if they already have my paycheck ready for me...and i didnt want to go to the store and ask them for my check..and them tell me that i dont get it yet.....i would feel really dumb!!

Call the store (if your off) or while your at work ask the manager when is payday. The manager should of told you when pay period begins and ends but she may have forgotten. Most times grocery stores pay once a week on fridays.

This is not a difficult thing to solve. As already suggested, ask. They will gladly help you. Be aware, most employers will have you wait one pay period, or some at least one week. This allows there over worked accounting department to calculate our pay checks, and the company to use the money until the next pay period. Not that they have to any more the computer programs can calculate what we are owed instantly. But that is the reason for the waiting period.

Most grocery chains pay weekly, but often they're a week back, so you might not get a check until the second week. Your manager should have told you when you'd get paid, so if she didn't, go ahead and ask, you won't look dumb.
