I suggest you watch some ufc events. Watch the slow motion replays of bouts that end by KO due to strikes & judge for yourself. As far as bouts that end through submissions watch Tim Sylvia vs Frank Mir (UFC 48: Payback), TM

Ultimate fighting is as real as you can possibly get without the fighters becoming more permanently injured or maimed. That's why there is no groin contact, no eye gouging or eye jabbing, no biting and some simple types of choking that don't employ a hold or any skill are not allowed either. If you think that thumb to the eye in WWE is real look closely and see if they actually hit the eye or the side of the face with their thumb. I guarantee you that if I hit your eye it would still be red, swollen, and hard to see out of for some time long afterwards.

My suggestion is to go to a school and take a few classes. Your opinion will change very quickly.

The reason i think some people newer to the sport think its fake or like the WWF is because of the drama that the UFC is able to build for some of the marquee fights. The drama helps sell the fights. Most fighters don't really hate eachtother (don't get me wrong some do) but will obviously talk about their opponents weakness. From there the editors cut and splice it to appear to be bad mouthing and then the fued begins. 95% of the time the drama ends when the fight is over.

Nope. It is fake as a 3 dollar bill. In fact just go to one of the matches and jump in and join the fun.

Report back.

If it was well acted, they would have Deniro as the welterweight champ.
