Look for a used mossberg model 500 at a pawn shop. I bought a used on in decent condition for $175 a few years ago. I've had it out in the rain, sand, and snow and it has never failed me.

Also keep a look out for a mossberg 20 guage, they usually run in the $150-$175 dollar range used.

What EVO said. A Mossberg is a dependable gun, despite what some kids who love the 870 say. Buy some ammunition to break it in and familiarize yourself with it, as well. They're often more reliable than an 870 Express and the dual extractor design provides a more consistent ejection.
