When you put low-profile getto tires on a Jeep, all bets are off. Door jamb info is only good if you use factory/factory equivalent replacement tires and is a ballpark figure for the curb weight of your Jeep. If the weight changes, like adding bigger bumpers, roof racks or other aftermarket stuff, tire inflation will change. Even the difference in weight of a soft-top vs. a hard-top can effect tire wear.

Checking proper tire inflation is rather simple and requires some chalk or a utility crayon. Make a mark all the way across each tire. Drive the Jeep for a short distance, a straight line is best. Note the wear pattern in the chalk. If there is chalk left at the edge the tire is over inflated. Chalk left in the center means it's under-inflated. A clean pattern indicates the pressure is just right. Make a note of the pressure for future reference.

I run 33" mud tires on my Jeep. The tires are inflated to 28psi in the front and 22 psi in the rear. The sidewall states 45psi Max Cold psi. Happy Wheeling!

on your tire it tells you the psi. it's in small print and you have to look carefully, but it's definitely on there. i used to put tires on cars all the time. every single tire has to have the max psi on there. cars usually run at about 35 psi max. so put it at 30 or 32 psi if its a car. for a truck it depends. they usually run around 60 psi. look on the side of the tire though. i am certain if you look really hard you can find it.

Dont listen to a word JMD says. Hes wrong.

The side of a tire tells you MAX inflation pressure.

The correct answer is whatever your car was designed to run. You can usually find it either in the door jamb, or in the gas door, or in your owners manual.
