I am extremely skeptical about these kinds of "abilities." To my knowledge, no controlled and carefully conducted research has every been able to conclude from it's data that psychic ability is possible. If I was asked to make a bet, I would bet against the reality of parapsychology in all forms..

I experienced some of that. So yes, I do think it's real. After I became a Christian I experienced more. It's something that happens to people who have a spirit which is 'awake'. The people like the one who gave you your first answer, he either hasn't made the connection. or he just has a sleeping spirit. It's not doing anything, and so he doesn't think it exists.

I think that there are a lot of fakes, the reason being is that some people have a talent for getting people to pay them money- money being a great motivator. But in this often confusing world, there are many things people don't believe in, which are nonetheless real.

Yes, There are individuals who have these abilities. Actually we all have the potential to have these powers. I believe they are part of every ones mental ability. Most of us just don't recognize when they are active. Many, who claim to be able to summon these abilities are charlatans. While they could develop their mental ability to access these characteristics, they find it easier and more profitable to fake it. John Edwards is a genuine medium. Sylvia Brown is a genuine clairvoyant, Edgar Cayce was a genuine telepathic clairvoyant, and there are others: Miki Dane, Judith Orloff, MD, Lucy Hale, Doris Stokes. There are books available which provide information for increasing ones psychic awareness. I have some psychic ability, and have accurately predicted results of future events, future experiences of some individuals, and I experience messages from ancestors who have crossed over. These messages come randomly, and at first I thought it was my imagination. I began to get these messages when I was a child, and began to accept my ability in my early teens. I never told anyone about these experiences but some of my acquaintances recognized my ability, and told me they thought I had strong psychic abilities. I do not feel special or gifted, but now when I get a message I listen.

I think everyone is gifted in one way or another.Anything is possible at least thats what I was yaught.But I truly think that some people are more sensitive to vibrations or variances in magnetic fields and so on.I mean wouldn't it be a totally boring place and life if some of us weren't gifted more so than others?

those who call it a hoax may be the same sort who initially thought bacteria was a hoax, because they couldn't see it.
