probably the least expensive route would be spray
nitrous oxide adds oxygen which in turn leans the fuel mixture so you must add a proportional amount of extra fuel with the nitrous. this can be accomplished by fabricating an aluminum spacer block behind the throttle body,to which the gas and fuel valves can be installed hardware kits are available from JEGS . com and include metering orifaces tank lines wide open switches valves etc.
a free flowing exhaust and low restriction air inlet system will help.
if your car is a turbo you may consider spraying nitrous directly to the outside surface of the intercooler [this super cools the incoming air resulting in a more dense charge]
if you do this i would reccomend a second bottle as the spray will go quickly
once again changing cam timing on these engines will really wake them up [ i believe ipd usa has degreed cam cogs for this application]
good luck have fun but remember the only to make a small fortune doing this stuff is to start off with a large one.
