How long can you go without talking? I talk so much that my dog bought ear plugs and never takes them out.

Following the death of my partner 6-years ago, I went on a walking/camping holiday in the Dales (Yorkshire and Derbyshire) and for about the first 4 days I did not speak to anybody, I just contemplated life, the universe etc. (came up witht the answer of 42)!
Sometimes I just feel the need to sit back, read and be silent. I was the same when I was a child.
Then of course there are times when people want me to shut the **** up! lol
I have always been comfortable around silence - it also shows how comfortable you are with the people in your presence if you do not need to talk for the sake of talking.

I could probably go a long while without talking, actually. I just normally have someone talking to me almost all the time, so, I couldn't test that theory out. I'm pretty confident I could go a LONG while without talking though.

i talk a lot too sometimes so much if i got into a long story with my boyfriend and get really off topic he will say this is my not caring face lol. i talk so much that when we fight it's the one thing we do if we are in the same room. the longest i'v ever went with out talking is like a hour maybe less. i talk to much.

The longest i've gone without talking is 1 hours 2 minutes and 23 seconds. That was in my sleep, too! i cant refrain from talking, and just yesterday i realized that when i'm by myself i talk to myself too! and in my sleep! wow i'm a talker lol. peace on earth

sometimes when my mouth gets dry i dont talk cuz i dont want to open it. but i can go a couple hours without saying anything. well actually 8 hours without saying anything 9 if i get home early from work

about 8-12 hours but that is only when I am sleeping - but then, I have been told that I sometimes talk in my sleep so . . . .and I could just go on and on

Great question, my boyfriend, companion tested me. Its was very hard. First time it was for an hour and then 4 hours. I got as high as 8 hours.

depends on your will power. i have gone without speaking for a maximum of 7 hours till now. on a flight from delhi to london
