Scared of death, peace at mind, feel wanted, escape a bad life, parents taught them, they feel it's the right thing, there is no explanation for the universe's existence, not enough education, brainwashed, need to believe in a God, makes more sense to them, personal experience, scared to go to hell, taught to not think, etc.

Actually your belief in God starts with faith and then reading the Bible. But I look at the things that God has already done for me and I look at His miracles. But also when I look at the beauty of the earth and all of the wonderful things that make up the earth, including the people., in my opinion, could not have been created by nothing else except God.
But faith is a choice. You either believe or you don't. I could put down every single reason that I believe in God, but if someone chooses not to believe then nothing I have said will make a difference. And sadly to say it would be a reason for some to make fun.

I believe in God because of mathematics, the patterns and design in everything in the universe. The perfection of a rose.
Also quantum physics is proving there are many demensions in this world ....not just what you can see. Also I believe that there are worlds we can't see, as our eyes are wonderful, but can't see everything...for example have you seen a germ with the naked eye? Also I believe in the paranormal, as there are too many unexplained mysteries in this world. There is also the Bible Code, the shroud of Turin, even if there is still a mystery about them. Until I know everything I will always believe in something greater than myself. And finally I have had too many prayers answered to disbelieve.

I believe because I've come close to death of a few occasions and with the blink of an eye, I was spared. Let's face it, we all want to believe in something, someone. God represents good, not evil, light, laughter, love, a connection to each other. Yes! God exists, we are a part of him.

I believe that God created the flood back in the days of Noah and their is scientific evidence to prove it... i believe that a lot of the theories that scientist believe about carbon dating can very well be false... I know you believed their were dinosaurs, but i can tell you where in the Bible it talks about them. i believe that my husband was cured of cancer... no medicine, but it's gone. I believe that a little girl was told by the doctor that she wouldn't make it to her first birthday is now 14. I believe that they could find no specific use for the apendix but sometimes it has to be removed... That same little girl uses to cath herself through the belly button... : ) I could go on...

Creation. Look around you: how did it all get here? By chance as evolution would have you believe? Doesn't fly with me because no one has ever been able to tell me where the "something" it all started from came from. Creation is why I believe in God and why I have "faith" in the "Bible".

It's a human instinct, we're hard wired to be that way.
Have you ever noticed, that even atheists will cry out for God's intervention during very distressful situations?

When God as a concept or person explains or offers meaning to life preferrable to those based solely on one's own self aware consciousness, there is belief.
