Well, I like mine with brown sugar and raisins, sometimes with a pinch of cinnamon or a drizzle of syrup as well. Honey is good, too, as is a dash of vanilla extract. Fresh fruit and nuts are always great, as are thawed frozen berries or dried fruit. I also sometimes like to shake a little granola or museli in mine. It makes an interesting contrast in textures.
Next time you buy groceries, take a look at the pre-packaged flavored varieties, then buy the ingredients for whichever one(s) looks good to you. That's where I get most of my ideas.

Hey that's a good question! I had the same problem a while back....You're just going to have to experiment with some healthy add ins to determine what you like best since everyone is different. I found these to be tasty and healthy:
Cinnamon (spice which has zero calories), Almonds (healthy fats and good source for extra protein), Raisins, any kind of calorie free sweetener (maybe equal). Nutmeg (not too much), Fruit (Apples, bananas, strawberries), try it with a little bit of milk (reduced-fat or fat-free) this makes it more creamy!
Cinnamon, apples, and a hint of nutmeg are good together!

Buy (in the frozen section) berrys, or the real thing, and cook it in with the oatmeal. The flavor of the fruit will cook into the oat meal, makes it very good

Brown sugar tastes good on oatmeal. So does cinnamon and raisins, chocolate syrup, strawberry syrup, Nestles Quick,
fresh fruit, jams and / or jellies!! The possibilities are endless!
Look around your kitchen & fridge...Get your creative juices flowing! Honey is another good one!

If you are really cooking it the easy thing to do is throw some raisins in the water as it is heating to boiling. Cook the rasins right in. Super yummy.
A touch of cinammon...Some brown sugar. margarine or butter.
