The dang thing is short and it is dull to cut plastic. So how did about twenty Arabs pull off 9/11 with nothing else? Anything can be used as a weapon. They proved it. So can we. The corner of your lap top can be used almost like an axe to punch in a skull at the temple. You can slam the heel of Your hand with all Your force straight into his nose. A woman can claw out his eyes, easily with her finger nails. You have teeth, so get the SOB down and forget any reservations bite deep, tear out his juglar and enjoy the taste of his blood. An air plane is full of potential weapons. Get him down by numbers, Then kick, beat and crush him to death.Jump straight up and down on him, slam the heels of your shoes right into his chest, right under the breastbone. These people want war like that, lets give it to them. War to the knife and the hilt of the knife. That is the American way. It is how your ancestors took this country. Who agrees with me?

This is a non military related issue, however you will find it easier to cut skin or a persons throat with this little knife, and most people do have an instinctive fear with regards violence.

The hijackers had trained in aggressive tactics and were hyped up with lots of adrenaline while engaged in their course of actions. once they had gained entrance to the cockpit the rest was history.

In previous hi-jack attempts there had been no record of planes being used as weapons, they were often blown up by the terrorists on the ground, or after the siege ended with all passengers being taken off first.

So with your fighting capabilities we can assume you will be ready to ship out to Iraq and win the war single-handedly or will you remain behind your computer offering your expert opinion on everything??

As a retired Air Force Officer and Pilot what I can tell you is not practical. You were not there. Would you alone been able to stop 5 hijackers? How do you know that the others on the plane or you for that matter knew you were being hijacked? What would have happened if they killed the pilots and then you managed to kill them? Could you have flown the plane? I could have but I was not there. All we can do today and tomorrow is try to prevent another 9/11 from happening. So far we have been successful.

I head this guy on the internet with an idea.

He went to a baseball game, had to go through security and have all his bags checked for weapons and bombs. Then at the gate to get in the stadium itself, it was bat day. Each person got a free baseball bat. They check for weapons, then give everyone a baseball bat. So he thought, maybe that will work for airline security, give each passenger a baseball bat and see who tries to hijack a plane with 200 other people with bats.

That is the way to go if you know your plane is going to crash into a building but not if it is being redirected. The planes were not full us soldiers trained in combat, the majority of the passengers are not young, fit men.

This is Monday quarterbacking of a tragic event. I think the reaction now-a-days is similar to what you are asking for (think the "shoe bomber) but for the theories of the pre-9/11 period the passengers acted appropriately. Don't forget, the passengers over Pennsylvania did fight too.
