This individual is not teaching any particular martial art style, just a variety of techniques that can be used when placed in a knife fighting situation. Some of them are similar to the techniques I've learned in the Marines and others are more reminiscent of Escrima, and Krav Maga.

Doesn't matter. A knife fight is a knife fight whatever part of the globe you live in. It's the results that matters, not where or who taught it. And being d3ad from a filipino fighter's knife is no different from dying from a Brooklyn diner cook's knife.

Hmm... doesn't look exclusively Filipino to me, though many Filipino elements. Most knife fighting today will have Filipino/Indonesian elements predominantly because of how effective it is. So maybe thats a modern/hybrid type.

I think the word combatives in the title refers to the hand-to-hand fighting system popular with the US military. Search "combatives" on Wikipedia. Theres a lot of information on it and links to books, web pages & articles. TM

Looks military to me. Because in most MA forms they would teach you more follow troughs. But that is just my opinion.
