No...I don't have a sore throat.

I have this weird situation with the side of my throat? It's the wall that is next to the end of my bottom gums, so it's way deep. There is a small hole there where sometimes i get food trapped there, and it won't come out unless i get it out with my toothbrush. So I did that, and the next 2 days it started to feel sore. Maybe because the food was trapped there for a few days? I have no idea where the hole came from and this has happened to me before but I never got sore from it. This has been going on for me for a year and a half. My mom thinks it has something to do with my wisdom teeth, but they only work on your gums, not deep on the side of your throat!?
Okay, I tried best explaining it. I'm in high school btw. Thanks.

You're not talking about your tonsils are you? Tonsils can develop small poc-like holes and trap food/debris. Have your dentist take a look at it. I'd start there first. Doctors don't know as much about the mouth as a dentist and if you need to see a doctor, then the dentist will be able to tell you that too.

"It's the wall that is next to the end of my bottom gums"...I'm sorry, I'm trying to picture what area of the mouth you're talking about. LOL. You did a good job, I'm just not following you.

Did you get a tooth pulled there? Are your wisdom teeth coming in?

It can be several thing including everything
that everyone else has mentioned.
It can also be a tallow bump that has come out
and left a small hole.
Tallow bumps are almost like a pimple
& some times like pimples they can get infected.
I really think your best solution is to go see your family doctor.
He will know what to look for, tests to run & what it is.
In the meantime, you might want to gargle
with a non-alcohol mouthwash.
Alcohol is usually too intense when
you have a sore throat.
And there are quite a few on the market
these days that kill germs without the alcohol burn.

Sometimes it not only food stucked that gives you pain in that area. a little hole where sometimes come off a white chessy putrid substance, just beside our tonsillar pouch. An over secretion from our parotid gland. If that substance get stuck there, you can try massaging your neck just underneath the lobe of your ear and rinse with lukewarm salt water. That will help dislodge stucked debris.

got the same problem and my got advise from my Family Physician.

That sounds like you have a pinched muscle there and that can be why you are having the ear trouble. Here is how to release the muscles for your neck to get rid of the pain: For your neck: place your hand alongside your head and push your thumb in under your ear and place it on the muscle there. Take your fingers and place them on the back of your neck on the muscles there. Press them together and hold a good amount of pressure on them. Then relax, take a deep breath and exhale. After 30 seconds you should be feeling the muscle going limp under the pressure. Continue to hold until the entire muscle has gone limp, then lean your head forward as far as you can, release the pressure but hold your head there for another 30 seconds.

I'm thinking ABCESS, INFECTION, CAVITY, ROOT PROBLEMS, BONE DEGENERATION...it sounds like it could be a number of things. Your best and safest bet is to go to the dentist and or doctor and have them take a look (it wont hurt) I had my wisdoms out in H.S. but I dont remember holes or PAIN.

Good Luck.

My daughter had something like that in her mouth. But it was not food, It was white and the Doctor said that it was Strep. She's a Carrier so it doesn't "make her sick", but she was contageous. Do yourself a favor and go to the Doctor.
