Acts 2:42 tells us what the early believers PERSEVERED in. That's a word that means it is hard to keep at it - because there is an enemy trying to stop you. Persevere in these 4 things and you'll get back on track with God.
1 - Reading your bible.
2 - Fellowship with other believers.
3 - The Lord's supper - that's what we come together to celebrate at the start of each week. (you know, Sunday)
4 - Praying.

As you read the bible, DO what it says. Join and attend and be a part of a real bible teaching church. Tithe. Drop bad habits. (you do this by picking up good ones)

Prayer...talk to him
when I feel that God has forsaken me, at that point, I have two choices.
1)...I can choose to believe God ,who never changes . He promises that He would never do that(Heb 13:5, Joshua 1:5) and examine what is taking place in my life that would make me think this. Perhaps he is trying to teach me something, etc....this can help strengthen your relationship with Him as well.
or
.2) I can choose to believe my feelings which can change or be influenced by any number of things i.e sickness, hormonal changes, even the weather. Because of this, feelings can't always be accepted as the truth.
I choose the first one...God doesn't lie and He doesn't change...

Pray. God has not forsaken you. He watches over those who sincerely seek Him. In the meantime, go talk to a pastor or a mature Christian who can advise and help you with your situation. If you're having a hard time recognizing God’s voice, He could instruct and help you through other Christians who can. I am praying for you.

Pray from the heart. God will never forsake you. That will be the devil trying to get you to give up. You must realize and understand that the devil is a powerful and mighty warrior against God. it will take many hard prayed prayers to God, because the devil is going to steal most every one until you build your faith up enough to go past the devil with victory in Jesus Name. Study and read the Bible much. S A L U T E to you.

Meditate on the verses that speak specifically about how He will never forsake you. Use your concordance and seek out those scriptures and let them be planted in your heart. Also, cry out to Him. Submit to His authority and stay in daily communication with Him. He truly loves you. Read Psalms 139, He's talking to you. God Bless!

Given the abusive situation, you need to seek a safe environment. First and foremost, to have a relationship with God, you need to establish one with His Son Jesus Christ. I assumed that you already had, but I don't want to make assumptions anymore. Confess your sins to Jesus and repent (make a decision to change your ways). Ask Him to come into your heart and be your Saviour today. Allow Him to come into your heart and life and be Lord as well. "Seek ye first the Kingdom of Heaven" that means seek to operate the way the Bible says we should be behaving. God Bless.

Pray and be prepared to hear the word of God

God will never forsake you,
you will contract from God,
that is when you question.
