For the record: I love the Philippines (have been there several times) and this isn't meant as a criticism of a fine nation or people.

No one claimed that Christians were morally superior.

Because poverty is so prevalent in the Philippine island. As well, many members of the Philippine population practice Islam. Prostitution is the only way for many women to earn a living. And there are a lot of male prostitutes there as well.

It just goes to show you that they aren't really a christian nation and neither is the US or any other nation for that matter.

Christian means " Christ- like or to be a follower of Jesus Christ following in his foot steps of teaching, preaching, have the love among your selves, spreading the "Good
News Of God's Kingdom" through out the earth. Who do you know does that ?
Jehovah God's Christian Witnesses are the only ones I know of. With over 100 thousand congregations world wide in over 227 land, islands, deserts, Amazons, north pole, south pole and 10 Kingdom halls being built every three days with over 8
thousand trained baptized witnesses every week. And all this work done for FREE.

Sincerely yours,
Fred M. Hunter

am no better or worse than anyone, prostitutes do what
they do out of neccesity most of the time, they are often
the only source of income in a lot of poor families and
no-one has the right to judge them

How about something closer to home.

Question.
Why is it that the Jehovah Witness and Mormon churches (both works based salvation and both denying the deity of Christ) are the most moral religious groups in the USA when evaluated against the law of God?

Answer.
Because Satan and his mignons have no need to tempt them and persecute them. They are not a threat to him.

1. not everyone who says they believe...really believe!! Jesus said many who say Lord, Lord...He won't even know on the day of Judgment.

2. moral superiority is imputed by God. A true believer is morally superior not by merit, but because Christ died. God can boast, no one else!!

3. a real believer also believes in the spirit of power. many so called believers skip this part, showing their failure to embrace God. where the power is, there is help...food...to overcome.

Poverty and desperation and a lousy government. As a Christian you cannot do anything you want you have to follow the example of Jesus. Christians are no morally superior.

Well, it goes to show that although they aren't morally superior they are probably having a lot more fun than the rest of us.

Because christianity is not about good deeds, just faith and prayer, two of the most worthless concepts in religion. Do anything you want, anything , then beg forgiveness and you're good to go. But live a moral life and not accept jesus and it is an eternity of suffering.

Except of course blasphemy which seems to be unforgiveable, it is worse than murder or rape apparently? Makes sense no?
