why do we constantly battle with those who go against our beliefs. we are supposed to stand on the word of God. Do you feel when we put down others we are being true Christians? we are supposed to put on our armor for battle but so many just criticize non believers and ridicule them
as they do us. does this help NO!! we need to lead by example. I am sure this will make many upset with me. Yet day after day I see this in life. My daughters mother in law told my 9 year old grandson last week end that he was an idiot and full of the demon spirit. he feels so bad about himself now. yet she professes to be this ordained minister , bible knowledge, super Christian. I think not. all I can say is people like her will find out someday. sorry if I offend anyone. We are supposed to love one another and not judge. reach out to those who hate and persecute us with love always. God Bless

I don't really have an answer for you, but right on with everything you said! I think people should just love God and love each other, NO MATTER WHAT! I live in a Mormon community and I am not Mormon, so I deal with this every day. I feel that I am looked down upon because I am not Mormon and my beliefs are different from theirs. I believe in the same God that they do, and I try to live a good life, and do the right thing. So why am I so different. But I guess we all just have to learn to let things go. If someone cannot or refuses to see the light within you, that their problem. You know it's there. That's all that matters. I do know how frustrating and sometimes painful this can be though.

Oh Kat, that is so wrong for anyone to tell a child that they are full of the demon spirit and an idiot. That is verbal abuse. For God says that we should become like children in order to enter the Kingdom of Heaven.
Pray for the woman that said this, so that God will help her see her wrongs.
Yes, we are to love one another, and judge not that ye be not judged.
I am a member of God' army.
God bless you too, my dear friend, and may He wrap His loving and healing arms around you and yours.

"Why are a few many Christians keen to visit conflict while Jesus has preached?" Huh? When did Jesus pontificate this? Or is a phrase lacking after "preached"?? Don't confuse matters that persons say with what Jesus is honestly recorded as pronouncing within the Bible. For instance, Jesus mentioned that he got here NOT TO BRING PEACE however A SWORD. So the notion that Jesus has one way or the other denounced all makes use of of the sword isn't taught via the Bible. Of direction, Jesus requires distinctive movements in distinctive instances -- so if any individual wishes to play nonsense with the Biblical textual content, they may be able to fake that Jesus contradicted himself.......simply as you'll play the equal video games with some other textual content/guide.

Just because some people profess to be Christians doesn't mean they can't be crazy! She sounds like a real nutjob to me!
I do agree with you, however, that criticizing and ridiculing people of other beliefs is not how a good Christian person should act. I don't remember the New Testament mentioning Jesus hurling insults at anyone. : )

No way no how should any grandparent EVER say something like that to their 9 year old grandchild. It is degrading demeaning and hurtful, which goes against christian beliefs. The golden rule do unto others.
As for the rest of the question. People are too set in their ways to just let others be and do what they want thinking everything should be done THEIR way.

First off DO NOT APOLOGIZE, That is absolutely terrible what she said to your grandson, God Say's it is better to tie a millstone around your neck than to offend one of these little ones, Children are very close to God's heart, He said hes has ordained praise out of the mouth of babes. I will be praying for your grandson that he heal that wound. And also heal your wound from this incident.
And you are so very right nothing can be accomplished through ridicule.

Jesus said there will be "tares in the wheat" "until the harvest." What a teller of truth!

For the grandson, here's a line that has helped me when criticized: "Did God tell you to say that?" If they say, "He certainly did!" just thank them politely and tell them you'll certainly take their words under advisement. Now everything's on a higher plane and they have nothing to complain about. You, meanwhile, have brought your God openly into the discussion, and I promise He will comfort you while you realize that their god is not yours!

There's a difference between religion and relationship.

Sounds like your daughters mother in law is religious, and not filled with the holy spirit like she claims to be. She can know the material, go to church and in fact be a "super christian" ... but standing in a church doesn't make you any more of a christian that standing in a garage makes you a car.

It's not about religion ... it's about a *relationship* with God. As christians, we're suppose to be a testimony of god's love, not putting others down, but loving others as he loves us. Of course it's easier said than done, but as christians walk by faith, they become more mature in that relationship.

All you can do is pray for her ....

With love <3

We can all learn about judging, commitment, and discipline.
We are all at different stages of at-one-ness-with-God.

Allow each person to self-correct,
this is the way one learns.
The heart knows when it has faltered, and erred.
It just feels wrong within.
There is no need to even bring their attention to the error,
one will know.

Also,
it is Gods business.
