Well, one Christian on here said that they were all going to Hell anyways.

Me, it saddens my heart to think some people can be so filled with hatred and anger and call it being a "Christian".

Hinds feet- I think you need to study the Buddhist philosophy. The vast majority of Buddhists are agnostic or atheist. There is no God in Buddhism.

Any Christian would sympathize with the Buddhist monks. Even if we don't agree on religion, they're way of life is peaceful- and God is all about peace. They don't deserve to be murdered Atheists or not.

Buddhism by definition is not atheistic, but since Buddhism (well, in most sects)does not take a stand on the existence of god(s) it is very possible to be Buddhist and an atheist. But I digress.

What happened was absolutly horrible. No one deservse to be treated in this way, expecialy not people seeking peace.

This says nothing about their religion, but it says plenty about what horrible things people are capable of.

The problem with Christianity in history is that the label is so misapplied. Our God said, "He hath showed thee, O man, what [is] good; and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?" (Sounds like the Buddhists are in good shape for the future.) He also said in one of the ten commandments, "the Lord will not hold him guiltless that taketh His name in vain," so the so-called Christians who are really cruel may be in for a big surprise in that day when "many that are last shall be first."

It speaks of the power of their personal beliefs.

Christians have been and are willing to die for their beliefs, same for Jew, Muslims, atheist's, witches, druids, those who practice Shinto...etc.

What do I think of them, I have always respected Buddhist's, and those of other beliefs. Yes, I know that according to the evangelical atheist's on here (yahoo answers) I am (as a Christian) supposed to hate everyone that doesn't believe as I do...sorry to disappoint.

Actually it isn't always an atheistic religion.
"If you meet the Buddha in the road, kill him".
Besides that...
I'm very proud of them for standing up for what they believe in and I am also weeping for their deaths.

I think it's freaking ridiculous! We need to do something!

I don't care if they're Atheistic or not, religion should NOT be the issue in this cause!

mmmm Atheistic Buddhist Monks, isn't that a contradiction in terms..
An atheist doesn't believe in any God.
A Buddhist believes in some kind of God.
But I think that what they really want is to have freedom to worship in their religion, and not so much just democracy..
