Has any believer ever had a real encounter with the living God? When I was a child I lived in upstate new york. My
parents did not know God and Didn't go to any church. A
neighbor started having snacks and bible readings at her home, and taught us about the ten commandments. some
time a few weeks later I acted real bad to show my friends
how tuff I was by making a new kid feel real sad. That night
after my parents sent me to bed I couldn't sleep.I started remembering what my neighbor had said about God and
I felt real guilty about what I had done, so I sat up in my bed
and prayed for the first time. I asked God to forgive me,and
while i was praying I heard him say in my spirt ( I LOVE YOU )
I answered Him and said : How could you love me, when I was
so mean to that little girl. As I was still speaking a bright light
came into my very dark room, it was so bright I had to cover
my face with my blanket. a few seconds latter I felt A hand on
my left shoulder and heard I love you

Yes, I have had an encounter very similar to yours. I know that it was Jesus. There was no mistake made nor was it a hallucination. I was very down at the time and I had no where else to go so I searched for Jesus and He was there. I cannot explain the feeling of love that enveloped me. It was very real and I will never forget it.
The Bible says that if we search for God that He will reveal himself to us and that is what you did when you wanted forgiveness. He let you know how much you were loved.
What an amazing God we have!!! Praise him!!!

Hmmm...nothing like that.

A month or so ago, I was praying about whether a church I was looking into was real or not. I opened the book and said, God...I'll do anything for you if you let me know if this church is true, show me a verse to let me know it's true.

I opened the book and I pointed to a verse(Mosiah 2:34) and I read " I say unto you, that there are not any among you, except it be your little children that have not been taught concerning these things, but what knoweth that ye are eternally indebted to your heavenly Father, to render to him ball that you have and are; and also have been taught concerning the records which contain the prophecies which have been spoken by the holy prophets, even down to the time our father, Lehi, left Jerusalem;"

I knew then that when I said I would do anything to God(rendering all I have and are to God) to know if the church was true, that I would get an answer...and what are the odds I just happened to point to that verse?

And I have. I'm being baptized into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints....

That is amazing. I know that you heard Jesus for sure speaking to you through your subconscious mind. But I just do not understand the Light. I know that Jesus comes through light and I feel this is true. I guess this is all I can say. Jesus can do anything he chooses and nothing is impossible with him. So if you say and you feel that it was God then I will give you the benefit of the doubt. I do feel that when Jesus left this earth then he will not return until his appointed time. Becarefull for what you might have seen was an evil deity posing as a Godly spirit. satan is going to come back using the good and he will fool many with how good he is. Be aware of this. satan is leading the Lambs to the Slaughter.satan know that he has a short time to win souls. Beawre not to be tricked or decieved by satan fir he is a master deciver. I am not bragging on him. I hate satan and wish that God would kill him forever for the trouble he has caused uds all. I am telling the truth. He also will make piece with many countrys like isreal before his time is over. satan then will set up rule after he has gained power to control many people and nations. His power will come fron stan himself and I am almost sure that it will be something that will confuse many. This is when many people will be forced to either take a sybolic mark or a litewral mark to buy, sell or trade. As you know this will hurt many people because they have children so we do not want to see our kids die such a horrible death if we take a simple mark then we can buy, sell or trade thrn we say all is well.Right. It seems that Gos is an underatnding God and will know that we did this for our kids only. But remember when Gos told abraham too take his Son up to the mountain and his child said Father where is the sacafrice. Ambrahm said to his son the Lord will provide. Abrahams faith was so strong that he was going to kill his own child. But God stopped Ambrahim because God knew that abraham was a man of true faith. So in that very day, we will have to fight the good fight even untill death probally. I know I'm afraid to and it's terrifing. But one thing is for sure God's will has always been carried out no matter who like sit or loves it. I know that in the spiritual world right now even as I write to you, there is a spiritual war going on. We might not be able to see it but we can see the time are changing and we can see many things that might be moving in the direction for the time of the Lord. These things will be unpleasant things to happen I trhink so. I think our Lord will have to use force on his people to get them to come back to him. This is scary but it is no bed of roses when God has had enough, I am sure of this. God Bless You! Sorry the spell check didn't work and I typed fast. smile. Thanks and God Bless you.

Sometimes an intervention by God is necessary like this. Imagine what the result could have been if this had not happened at that young and impressionable age. You might have concluded God had rejected you because of what you had done, and ended up turning to the "dark" side.

The danger is in thinking you are extra-special compared to others called of God. If anything, you need to understand it was an act of mercy on the part of God, and without it, you might have perished.

There was an event that happened to me that would be easy to fall into bragging about it, but it was actually a humbling experience, and was also an act of mercy on the part of God, as without that intervention, I think I would have become deeply despaired, and may well have killed myself.

I had a dream. God put His hand on my shoulder and said 'It will all be okay'. This happened when I was 13 (when my life was tough for me, really). Everytime I think of God saying that to me, I can really pull my life together and know everything will be okay. Afterall, God knows what he's talking about right?

And yes, I was a child when this happened. I didn't confuse this with reality. No one could ever feel what I felt then. It was the most amazing experience of my life, and I will always thank God for helping me through all that I've had to live with.

One of the clearest I ever heard Him speak in my spirit was when I was at my lowest point in life and had nowhere else to go but Him. As I was crying out asking where He was, He told me "I'm right here were I've always been." It was pretty epic and I'll definitely never forget that moment.

To Man on a Mission, we're talking about Jesus Christ not Joseph Smith. Mormons you are NOT Christians and you do NOT believe in the same Jesus that is in the Holy Bible, please email me so I can show this to you.

I have an encounter with Him daily. It is ongoing and at times there are some quite unusual things that happen. Every night I know that He is there in my room, watching me, making sure I'm okay through the night. He lets me lean my entire weight on Him and fall asleep cradled in His arms. He tells me that He loves me and will always be there for me. I have seen the hem of His robe as He danced to some music I liked once. He has saved me from death a few times quite miraculously. He has healed my body and my mind. I can't wait to see Him face to face.

When i was 4 years old we lived in this house that had a sky light....my mother didn't teach us about God but my babysitter tried, it was bed time and I was very scared, but my mother wouldn't console me, I remember I had to use the bathroom but i was to afraid and i peed on my self. I was so terrified to get up and change my self but I did it any way...as I sat on my bed crying i started to pray I didn't know how but i tried....and as I did I seen a bright light come through the sky light and they were angels coming down and surrounded my bed, and than a man in a white robe with a gold sash came down with his hands reaching out to me, and he said do not be afraid I am here with you...go to sleep and I will never leave you. and he touched and stroked my head and hair....and Jesus Christ kept his word,He never left me..As I grew up I told this story many times and most people don't believe me. I know the truth, It took me a long time to to understand that Jesus Christ was with me all my life growing up not knowing him, but he knew me and he waited for me. I received the Gift of the Holy Spirit last year in September2006 and I was baptized in Jesus's name in Feb 2007 God has told me many time he loves me and I even got a chance to smell his beautiful aroma. that is another story...God Bless You in Jesus Christ Holy name Amen

This was definitely God, he knows and forgives all and we can feel his presence when we talk to him. He knows you really didn't mean to be treat her like that and that's why he was there for you and I'm sure he was there for that little girl who was wanting to know why. GOD IS SO AWESOME.
