HTML code for picture enlargement?
Hi, I no very little and am trying to build my own web site. I have come a long way and just need to figure one small thing out. I know what I need is done by HTML code, but not sure how. I am looking to put a button or something for a person to be able to enlarge a photo of an item I am selling. I have seen this on a lot of web sites where it says click here to enlarge picture. I sell cookware and need to have the person be able to see a larger image of the item I am selling. I have also seen where if they simply drag their mouse of the thumbnail pic it will enlarge. Would you happen to know how either of these are done. I have don a ton of research with no luck. I would greatly appreciate it.

Thank You Soooo much

What you want to do is very simple with html.

You want to make the small image a hyperlink to a bigger image. The html code for that is the anchor tag.

You will put the small image on your page (using the image tag) and then make that the link.

Here's a sample. This could all go on one line but I have put it on three for ease of reading. It works either way.

Line 1 is the beginning tag for the link
Line 2 is the actual smaller image on the page that will get clicked
Line 3 is the closing tag for the hyperlink

+++++++

Hope this is understandable.

The site below is a good one to find various codes for special enhancements for your website:

The HTML code does not make your image bigger; it simply creates a path to go to the larger "preset" image you've set up already.

Anywhere and everywhere there are opportunities to take stunning photographs from the wilds of Alaska to high rise cities like New York. There is life even in a concrete jungle, plants exist as do many insects and animals. The best photographers are great observers, become totally aware of your environment and I promise you the subjects are all around you.

Learn some basics, look for good light, and apply elemental guidelines of composition to capture images that are more like stunning and less like mediocre snapping. It takes some applied learning effort and practice time. I do not agree to play with camera settings willy nilly and snap a thousand pictures to hopefully get a good one. You have to understand what you are changing and why. So begin learning and getting ready to get the most from your camera. Best wishes and happy shooting.
