What crazy things have your pets done?

calm down...my dog didn't eat 10lbs of raw ground beef!

he did however manage to make a hole through a wooden door in my basement- which prob. took him all week- to run around the house and I caught him today when I came home early! I didn't notice because there are two doors that lead into his 'doggy room' and the bottom of one he used is hidden behind a desk...He also had to climb over old tables, chairs, and boxes! wow...he's ten months and well, it shows that he's clever and smart...how can you punish him for that? I think it was more our fault than his... :)

so, what are some of your great stories?

He didn't really do anyhing except for make a mess with some of my old magazines and he brought up his toys...all rooms were closed and all the bad suff was locked up in a cabinate- my little cousins were coming over and we wanted everyhing picked up before we left in the morning...

Wow! I just was going to tell you your dog was gonna get the runs! anywho, my Rott/Pit recently sneezed herself off the bed. LOL She sneezed with such force that she fell over the side and knocked against the wall (she was fine, but embarrassed)

What a waste of money. Your dog would prefer entrails to muscle. When you serve this fancy junk to your dog you are satisfying your taste buds and eyes. Do you really think your dog cares if he gets Harvest Moon or Country Evening? The dog looks for smell and texture. They don't have much for taste buds and it is one of their least active senses. Leave some good old hamburger on the front porch for two days. Then set it and some organic, free range, hand massaged ground beef fresh from your organic store and see which one he goes for. I love these dog treats and canned gourmet food people feed their animals. The dog couldn't care less if the snack looks like a t-bone or if Wolfgang Puck made his food. You are just filling him up with dyes and fillers and chemicals.

My dog will eat anything that's not tied down! She loves sultanas, cheese, bread, vegetables, and if she had her way, she would eat chocolate, but I know that it's dangerous.

My husband was eating a huge block of chocolate one night while watching TV. He left it on the arm of the chair and fell asleep (as usual). When he woke up, he blamed me for eating the rest of it - yeah, right! The dog had managed to get it off the chair, get the silver paper off it WITHOUT tearing it and ate the whole thing! We still don't know how she got the paper off without tearing it. We panicked as we knew chocolate wasn't good for dogs, but she was okay.

We have a real problem with possums on the roof at night. One night I could hear one stomping around like crazy and I could see that Delilah could hear it. (She's a German Shepherd). She sat outside the back door staring at the roof, wishing it would come down. As it happened, the possum slipped on the sloping back patio roof and slid off, straight into the waiting mouth of the dog - (It's okay, she didn't get it in the end!), I took a dive at the dog to grab the possum, the possum decided it didn't want either of us, it scratched the hell out of both of us and took off running. The dog never tried that again! (Neither did I!)

I once had a dog ( Chi mix) who ate an entire stick of butter and didn't even get sick, another,a Lab mix,ate a pound of chocolates, half an apple pie and some tomatoes, and all she did was get bad gas.My cousin's Chow mix pup,Spunky, ate two pounds of raw pork sausage when we were kids ,and he was fine, too, and just recently,my German shepherd at an entire medium pepperoni pizza ( minus one slice) and was fine as well! My vet tells me that my dogs have "garbage guts!" All of these incidents ,except for the pizza, happened when I was a kid.Nobody knew that chocolate was bad for dogs, and I guess Pepper didn't know it,either!

Thats not very suprising. Many people feed thier dogs raw meat as a healthy stapel diet.

Try crateing your dog while you are away. It may save your house from unbelivable things like that happening in the future.
