I had 2 root canals performed by my Endodontist 2 days ago (just over 48 hours ago) on teeth #13 and #15. I have a fairly constant, dull pain in the area and it is sore to pressure in the general area. If I attempt to slightly bite down in the area (tooth #14 is still whole), it elicits a fairly strong pain. I have had other root canals, and none of this seems out of the ordinary.
However, if I place any pressure, even if just slightly with my tounge, on the underside of tooth #13 it creates an unbearable pain. Tooth #15 does not have any pain if touched or w/ pressure. This isn't my first go-round, and I don't remember ever feeling pain like this.
I had no pain before the root canals (neither were painful or infected; these were only to correct decay that was encroaching on the pulp). Neither were abcessed. I accidentally bit down while chewing food on the other side of my mouth and the pain was almost incapacitating.
Is this a sign of a failed root canal? Any ideas?

I would contact my endo, however they are, of course, closed on Fridays.
Also, I accidentally hit it w/ the prong of a fork at dinner and the pain was beyond any tooth pain I've felt before. It reminded me of a visit to the dentist when he tapped a decaying tooth with a metal tool. Unbearably painful.
