The writer of the Bible book of Proverbs acknowledges that “there exist companions disposed to break one another to pieces”—that is, people who will try to exploit your trust. The world is full of them. But give others the time and the opportunity to demonstrate that they are trustworthy, and you will find friends who will, in fact, ‘stick closer than a brother.’—Proverbs 18:24.

To get the full meanIng of the verse you must have the Hebrew translation. In Hebrew it read like this. "A man of many reya comes to ruin, but there is an ahab who sticks closer than a brother."
A man of many reya, that means acquaintances, superficial relationships. But there is an ahab, what is that? A loving, loyal, intimate friend.

A man who has friends, is a plural statement. So that's saying there are many. It doesn't say that they were friendly, but that himself (the man) must show himself friendly. In other words, "Do unto others as you would have them to do to you". They may not be friendly like you. They may not treat you good. But there is a friend that does stick closer than a brother. His name is JESUS!

the NIV translation reads:
24 A man of many companions may come to ruin,
but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.
I think it means that it doesn't matter how many friends you have, you can never completely trust that they will always be there for you, but there is a friend (Jesus) that is closer to you than any friend or brother - and knows you better than you know yourself.
blessings :)

Im not really sure what Messiah Christ the master looked like , but he certainly did not look like the Jesus picture by michelangelo with blonde hair and blue eyes . In fact there is some evidence showing that lucifer looks like the " jesus " michelangelo painted . In fact michelangelo probably painted lucifer and said it was jesus so when the antichrist comes people will think he is jesus . Even though he will masquerade as saviour to all religions , first and foremost he will pretend to be christ . Blonde hair and blue eyes was the colour of all the demons and false gods such as semiramis thats why hitler was obsessed with them and killed people who werent aryans and thats what the usa government is doing now depopulating the earth for " environmental " reasons . Anyway i hope you avoid the antichrist . Peace !!!

It's talking about how a true friend will "stick closer than a brother." A true friend will always be there for you, know who you are, and love you to death...
