I know what you mean.

It's like... throwing away an entire marriage because there are 5 things that annoy you about your spouse. Instead of trying to work on those 5 things with the spouse's help, you instead "throw" those 5 things out of your life... meaning that the spouse has to go too.

I have always had the foresight to be able to separate the good from the bad. It's a gift. I look for the whole picture before I make a decision. That's why, when I fist saw my husband, and saw a disheveled, sweaty, hung over musician, sitting on my Friends couch....it occurred to me that he probably cleaned up well, and I decided to give him a chance. He turned out, way better than I thought he would. He is now a Christian who sings Gospel, and stays far away from Alcohol and nightclubs.
