Ok. I'm a 14 and I'm shy. I am also very sweet though, as people like to tell me. I think I am kind of pretty, at least an average pretty. I know I'm not ugly or anything. (People tell me i'm pretty)
So I'm thin, pretty, shy, and sweet.
So anyway, no boys ever like me!!!! Like all the other girls at school have boys with crushes on them and boyfriends and stuff, but no boys seem to like me! I'm just wondering why! Is it because I'm shy that boys don't like me???
The few boys that ever do have crushes on me are the huge, fat, annoying, disgusting ones! I want to get boys to like me without becomming a flirt 'cause I'm shy! Do boys not like shy girls?? Help!

You're only 14. Most guys your same age are reallllly immature. They probably only go after the girls who they think are really easy and who will put out right away. You probably come off as more of a challenge. Please just be patient and wait until you get a little older. Your shyness will be very attractive to certain guys. You might have to wait for the right guy to come along. Don't become the easy slutty type of girl just to get guy's attention. That will end up hurting you in the long run. Stay your sweet shy self and it way pay off for you in the end.

There are probably boys that do like you, but you are probably focusing more on the boys you like. There is probably a boy that likes you that you are not expecting to like you. Just act like yourself and look for any clues. One is the old staring and turning when you see eachother thing. Also, the boy should be nervous to talk to you, so if you are ever working with a boy that seems to mumble a lot or speak very quietly, the odds are that they like you. You will eventually find a boy that you like in college and all through your life, those middle school and highschool ones are just little ones that you wish for but eventually die down when you haven't seen any of them for a long time. The ones you meet in college have a good chance of becoming more than a boyfriend or girlfriend.

I had this problem at school. I was really shy and quiet so all the guys took notice of the loud girls instead. It's heart breaking I know! I'm now 24 and I find boys like quieter, laid back girls as they aren't so in your face in a sense. Just remember you are so young so enjoy your youth and just be yourself. You sound a lovely girl so I'm sure a guy who's right for you will find you and love you for who you are. In the meantime, enjoy going out with your friends and just talk to guys that you like without flirting. Ask them questions and seem interested and things they tell you, they love it if they interest!
But remember, boys get shy too. They just hide it in different ways. I know from experience. xx

Being shy has its advantages and its disadvantages. Its advantages are that you will never make a fool of yourself by being too bold, and people will not think you're coming off as annoying. Its disadvantages is that people can think you're stuck-up, and people might not talk to you, because they don't know how you're going to react. I know guys like girls with confidence, so they prefer them to be outgoing. Try to be a little less shy by taking small steps at a time. Say hi to guys and smile at them so they know you're at least giving them attention. If you're thin, pretty and sweet, you shouldn't have any problems. I am sure a guy will like you.

It doesn't mean boys doesn't like shy girls. There probably are boys out there that really like you but are also shy to express their feelings. Just try and be outgoing a little bit more so boys might be able to puck up the courage to say he likes you.
Don't worry about it now, there's still a long time in school for you.

How do you know that? Maybe the boys are shy too. Don't be in a hurry and just be yourself and everything will work out OK.
Yes, some guys like shy girls but we all need at least some confidence. Your confidence needs to evolve naturally and you shouldn't force it.

k well boys like girls who are social. now your shy and sweet, so that maybe sends a message to guys that your too innocent and that your not comfortable in your skin. guys like an outgoing girl who can talk to and relate to many people. Try becoming more social, open and outgoing. Then you'll have a line of guys before your eyes. Good Luck!!!

Shy girls your age tend to be liked most by shy boys of a similar age. The most likely reason you are not being approached is not because you're not pretty or worthy of attention, but rather because you are liked but just by those boys too timid or nervous to work up the nerve to approach you.

hahaha. well, i'm sure the fact that you called some of the boys who like you "fat annoying and disgusting" might have something to do with it.
but otherwise, most guys like shy girls. the problem is it's very difficult to initiate contact with a shy girl. so a few might like you but not have the guts to tell you.
also, your being shy means you dot get anyones attention. so it might just be that no one's noticed you.

I had the same problem in high school!
Here's how to fix it:
obviously you want a boyfriend, maybe you have a particular (available) one in mind? find a way to get to know him more, talk to him more, even if it's through one of his own friends, anything.
trust me, I found later that tons more guys liked me than I realized at the time, the sad truth of it is, is that SHY GIRLS ARE HARD TO APPROACH and guys are afraid to try to talk to you. shy=quiet=no conversation=rejection
start talking. even if it seems awkward, people will start to notice you.
