Ever heard of honesty? Don't play games, just be honest. If you guys do end up dating, you will have started it off by being straight forward and honest. If you are uncomfortable with this being a serious conversation, frame your answer with a little humor to lighten up the situation.

Say yes and tell him the guy's first name is ________(his name). Then laugh!

Or, tell him you like to keep your options open, as you've been waiting for just the right guy!

You can be coy and funny without anyone becoming uncomfortable. Buy don't lie to him, then he'll think you are a game player.

I don't know what makes you think he would ask that particular question, but maybe you could say, "Not right now, but I might have one soon." Now, if he should respond by saying, "Anyone I know?" just tell him, "That information is classified. Do you have a security clearance and a need to know?"

honey, you are worrying too much about this. play it casual and calm. if he asks you, just say "you know what? i don't have a boyfriend because i have yet to find someone who deserves to be called my boyfriend." don't worry about the blushing thing--men don't notice that. you will be fine, and at the party, let HIM approach YOU first. don't chase him. smile and be your hot self. men love a confident women who is not intimidated. good luck.

Tell him you're 'single and looking.' But do it cool like, with a little coy smile.

Or if that's too balls-ey for you, just tell him the truth.

there's nothing wrong with not having a b/f...you could say like you're not looking for a relationship at the moment or that you don't have time for a b/f
