You sound like a very responsible young person. Well done for doing your homework.

There are so many homeless and deserving cats who would be insanely grateful to have a home and wonderful people to call their own. Anyone can get a purebred. It takes a very special individual to take in a disabled or other cat with special needs. Your financial stability makes your mom and yourself the perfect candidates for such an animal and you'd get a tremendous amount of love in return.

Good luck.

I agree with the first answer. Don't push your mom. She must have a good reason to why she doesn't want you to have another animal. Maybe just maybe she doesn't feel she or yourself are ready for a cat. Lay off of her and give her a rest from the begging. The more you ask and beg the greater chance she will keep saying NO. Just wait.... if it is ment to happen it will.

Well you have quite the dilema. Don't worry I think I can help you out with this.

Tell them pretty much everything you just said there.
THEN get a little more creative.
Talk about how you can have CAT CIRCUSES if you got a cat! Tell her it would make you really happy because you love circuses....especially with CATS! Oh yes. And offer her the job of being the judge. She will most definitely appreciate the plan.

Go to the animal shelter with your Mom to look at kittens. She will certainly fall in love with one and your problem will be solved.

take her to a pet store and let her hold and play with it!! (it worked with my daddy!!)

"Mom, I'm pregnant."
"What!!!"
"And it's for the homeless man who lives in the park."
"What!!!"
"And he has AIDS."
"What!!!"
"Just kidding, but I do want a cat"!!
"Whew! Well if that's all, then no problem."
