Equal how? If you're talking about biblical support, then there are far fewer mentions of a flat earth in the bible. Evolution (from a literal standpoint, not an allegorical one as the bible should be read) contradicts Genesis directly. The Bible never says directly that the earth is flat. I think it mentions a tree from which you can see the whole world, but that doesn't mean that the Earth is flat. Back then, the "whole world" didn't include Australia, North America, South America, Greenland, Indonesia, or Japan, to name a few places. It's probably just hyperbole.

Both statements are equal in their falsehood though.

EDIT: To anyone who says that evolution is a "theory," to mean a "guess," you need to look up the difference between a scientific theory and a hypothesis. Scientific theories are empirically proven explanations for why something occurs. They have to be very well-verified before they get called theories. Global warming, for example, isn't labeled a theory yet. Google it if you don't believe me.

Scientists in the past thought the world was flat, so why are you just applying that to creationists?

Why are evolutionists so arrogant in their belief of a THEORY with sooo many holes and unanswered questions? A good scientist acknowledges the flaws in evolution. They will admit that evolution doesnt have all the answers yet to make it fact. You can have the opinion that it is the best theory we have scientifically right now, but there are still some unanswered questions about it. If you said that I would actually have respect for that evolutionists. But some evolutionists hold to this theory as fanatically as they claim creationists hold to their God.

I believe God works thru scientific principles. I do not believe in evolution from species to species. Adaptation has enough prove behind it, within species, for me to accept it. Evolution has major major flaws that should make everyone still has a little bit of question over whether it really is correct.

If you dont believe that there is any other possible scientific explanation for the creation of life than evolution then you are blindly clinging to a theory without looking at all the facts and then that makes you a hyppocrite if you are accusing creationists of doing the same thing. It is possible, even if you dont believe in creation or a God, that life began scientifically in a way other than evolution. There is sooo much about science and nature we still dont know.

grimey species evolution, species to species is not even close to being proven as fact
You tell religious people to look at the scientific facts and yet you clearly seem to ignore the facts about evolution. There are a lot of holes in the theory that scientists have not answered. It is considered the best explanation we have, scientifically, right now, but it is nowhere considered, even by scientists a proven fact.

unfortunately for you history records that Christians were teaching of a round earth 800 years before Columbus. there was a book called Sphere, that was a central part of teachings of the church. so if you are stating that creationist were right about flat earth and evolution your are right. they disbelieved in them both.

Yes. Both come from the bible and are equally untrue. And both received a lot of opposition in their time.

Evolution (adaption) is true, evolution (less complex to more complex) is not proven.
Flat earth is not supported by a correct understanding of the Bible.
