Volchok, a seriously troubled surfer that Marissa met (through Johnny) and with whom she got into a brief affair. He didn't like it that she had dumped him (after she caught him cheating on her), or that she seemed to have gotten back together with Ryan. So he tried to force them off the road to confront Ryan over Marissa and accidentally killed her in the process (when her car flipped down an embankment).

Volchok, he was trying to get them to pull over so he could talk to Marissa. but they didnt pull over so he hit there car.
