Have you taken your ASVAB yet? The "mecdical" exam
happens at the MEPS!

I hope that you are in good physical condition, experience with weapons and love to eat donuts, criteria for Security Forces, just like a civilian Police force.

Air Force Security Squadron personnel are actively involved in the military operations in Iraq, escorting and protecting convoys of supplies and equipment going down range from Kuwait for use in country. And they are receiving extra instruction and training in doing this. The problem is that the Air Force's budget has not been increased to cover this extra tasking of a mission.
Simply put, they are the Air Force personnel in the Iraqi Theater of Operations at highest risk of life and limb. I'm not trying to scare you or dissuade you. Just thought you ought to know some facts from a retired Navy guy who lives in the vicinity of a major air force base in the States and gets some input from guys who have been there and done that.

Unless you absolutely want to be security forces then you should probably reconsider. They pull rediculous hours with no holidays off for the most part, just like civilian counterparts. On my base they work 14 hour shifts. The rotation is 3 days on, 3 days off, 2 days on, and then 2 days off. You will be on prp (personnell reliabilty program) status. That means you cannot self medicate, not even tylenol, among other restrictions. As a junior enlisted person, you will get all of the bad shifts and bad duties, but this is true of all AF jobs. Just remember all of those mondays off in school you got. In some other jobs you will get them. Most shift working jobs will not have those days off ( security forces, fire fighter, weather, command post, air traffic controller). Just remember in all branches of the military you will get paid based on your pay grade,so an e-3 working 14 hour days brings home the same pay as a finance troop who works 8-5 mon-fri.

What kind of advice are you looking for?? I'm not familiar with Air Force jobs, is this like Military Police?? Before being adamant on this, check with the other branches to see what they offer. You might find something better. As far as not having the medical exam yet, have you taken the ASVAB. The medical portion of entry phase doesn't happen until you go to MEPS to go over your contract with a counselor.

do not conceal your scientific history. the actuality which you have been twelve on the time, and that your father gave up the ghost, so it replaced into grief-appropriate, could be superb. you will circulate to a minimum of one direction at a time, in case you qualify you will circulate to DLI. After the militia has experienced you for 18 months or extra, they have earned some years of your provider previously you are able to circulate back for a 2d language. i think of you will possibly take excitement in DLI. it is not suited, sometimes i think of the curriculum replaced into written via a committee, who did not comprehend something approximately 2d language acquisition. however the teachers are frequently somewhat good, the direction is amazingly huge, and it somewhat is a huge thank you to get your fill of immersion guidance. in all threat extra advantageous than your fill, you language junkie! (Takes one to comprehend one.) Plus, it is in California, on the sea coast. remember, you may connect the army besides. i don't think of you're going get numerous a raffle for reading, until eventually you connect the army and circulate HUMINT. yet you comprehend the drawbacks of that direction of action, because of the fact your brothers did 2 excursions each and each!

My husband is an AF enlisted recruiter, and although the AF is great, he would not recommend that job in particular (unless that is what you are just dying to do). There are MANY other jobs that you could possibly qualify for. Take the ASVAB and physical. They'll tell you what you qualify for out of what jobs are currently available (not out of all the jobs the AF has to offer).
