A good quality diamond that is the size of a small peanut, would be about 1 1/2 carats, and will run between 6 and 8 thousand dollars. Or more, these days, as I bought that for my wife in 96.....
So diamond as big as a tennis ball would not only be hard to mount on a ring, but would cost more than the gross national product of several small countries....

Diamonds are running about 2k per carat. Unless your boyfriend is the son of a billionaire, he's not going to be able to afford it. If you are just exaggerating and are just looking for a nice large size diamond, you should start at the diamond mart of any large city. By the way, I would hope that you would not purchase a blood diamond.

he would probably have the best bet going to a mine in africa and digging one out by hand, otherwise it will be a few hundred thousand to million dollars

i dont know but wouldnt you want him to buy it out of his heart instead of making him buy it, my bf bought our engagement rings out of his heart and i love it, they probably arent expensive like yours but i love my engagment ring is worth about $2500 alone and i feel bad cause thats alot of money to us cuz we have a baby to take care of. dont make him buy it thats horrible i hope he leaves you!!!!
